Historia
Young and naïve—those are his exact words. Professor Barclay views me as a nuisance, a disruption of his otherwise obedient class and perfectly regimented life. His bad impression of me stems from a simple misunderstanding. When that impression sours from bad to worse, he decides to make an example out of me in front of the entire class. Every other female student in that auditorium looks on, longing to trade places with me, wishing they were the object of his attention. It’s humiliating. I want nothing to do with him or the tension growing between us, but he feels inescapable.

Great Read; Not So Great Listen
Revisado: 02-25-24
I want to love this audio book, but the female narration is awful - I mean it is truly, annoyingly horrible. You can capture a good chunk of the story listening to only the male narration, which is excellent, so if I re-listen it will have to be that way; but I have to recommend reading this one and skipping the audio. Do they ever re-do an Audible recording? If so I would love to have this book with a different female narration.

Historia
It’s simple: Noah Peterson and I are enemies. Our fellow teachers know it, our friends know it—even the Starbucks drive-through lady knows it. The shrill whine of the school bell announces the start of each day’s no-holds-barred grudge match. Since neither of us is looking to get fired or thrown in prison, we war with our words and our wits. We prefer banter that bites. All day, I’m on edge, looking around every corner, expecting him to do his worst. Summer usually offers the sweetest relief—a two-month Noah detox—but not this year.

Slow and steady not a winner
Revisado: 06-22-22
R.S. Grey is one of my favorite romance authors but this was my least favorite of her books. The story drags, with a lot of repeating the same idea. There were a few great moments, but not very many laugh out loud parts, which I have come to expect. Most of her titles are in my favorites list to listen to again, but I barely made it through this story once. The female narrator did okay, but I was disappointed that 2 narrators are listed when the male narrator only voices the epilogue-feels a little false to me. The description should be one narrator with a guest appearance by the second narrator or something like that. I wouldn’t recommend spending a credit on this one.

Child TV star turned adult wallflower Naomi LeClaire has vowed never to return to the spotlight. But when she’s stuck in a storm with Donovan Foster, the hot, charming, wildlife-rescuing internet sensation, and she finally gives in and kisses him...and a few articles of clothing end up on the floor...suddenly her simple, quiet life is tossed upside down. Especially after the paparazzi catches a heat-of-the-moment kiss. Now everyone assumes she's his girlfriend and, when she realizes that’s the best way to keep Donovan out of trouble, Naomi agrees to play along.

Worst of series
Revisado: 03-24-22
I have really enjoyed this series, but this book was difficult to get through. The characters are inconsistent, the story drags, sections of the story seem completely out of place, and the female narrator is awkward. Some of the scenes with the animal rescues are interesting, and Jason Clark is amazing as always, but if you can stand to skip a book in a series, I would skip this one.
