what i disliked about the book was that I am too relatable to the people who are needing help. what I liked about the book is that there is practical advice that I can use now.

Amazing Cast

The story was pretty questionable. Some of the other reviewers talk about it in depth, so I won't go into much details. This book requires a deep suspension of belief. There is a lot of time warping stuff happening and the science explanation and police procedural parts where weak too. Also while Jonah and Daniel stories are interesting, I am not sure why they are mentioned when Virgin Mary story would be enough to convince anyone that something significant is happening. oh and the names kind corny. but I will listen or watch anything with Lawerence Fishburn and Kerry Washington until the end.

And I want a second season. regardless of the plot holes, this story is very entertaining.

I got to Chapter 35. I have listen to Shrek fuck. It was not something that I found hot. The character who the Shrek voice represents is suppose to be hot. However, the only image I have is Shrek calling for Donkey. The writing is racist. I dont think there is any person of color in this book but I am okay with it because this story doesnt make anyone besides the FMC look good. The writing is pedantic. Every character is a stereotype. Every character needs therapy. I stand by the fact that consenual poly relationships should be respected like monogamy is, but damn this one started with rape, slavery and terrorism. The only reason why this book has 2 stars is because I could listen to the female voice forever. This is a hard DNF.

The story was performed to perfection. The written story was not well written. In fact, the story was written to be listened to rather than read since the writting was as if it was as if the main character was telling the audience her story verbally.

Are you serious?

The story was very logical, thus it was easy to predict where the plot was going. Yet, it was the writer's talent in building a lush world with very loveable and relatable characters that kept me intrigued. The very end was surprising...which is great because now, I am interested in the third book.

What gets me is that the City of Daevas could have been half way saved by love -a marriage between the Emir and the Banu Nahid- if their society were different.

This is so funny! You will enjoy. I wouldnt let children hear some of this because of random sexual references and outright vulgar terminology- even if it was anatomically correct.
Also, this not a romance.
