Just alright
Revisado: 08-15-24
I was really looking forward to this one as I've been an Oakey fan since 2001. I prefer biographical audio books to be read by the author but they did a good job casting the reader for this. He sounds a bit like Oakenfold so it works for me. The story though was meh and unfortunately I just couldn't finish this one, even with just 2 hours left. I found the story to be presented in a boastful way, superstar DJ this and that and so and so this and that (lots of name dropping). This is primarily about his accomplishments, which just got to be too much. I wished there were behind the scenes stories, adventures he could speak of as you know he's got good stories. This one is a pass for me, sadly....sorry, Oakey :(

Historia
“Sam, could you do me a favor?” Thus begins a story that has now become part of America's true-crime hall of fame. It is a gory, grotesque tale befitting a Stephen King novel. It is also a David and Goliath saga - the story of a young lawyer fresh from the public defender's office whose first client in private practice turns out to be the worst serial killer in our nation's history. This is a gripping true crime narrative that reenacts the gruesome killings and the famous trial that shocked a nation.

I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to do so simply because the narrating on this one is hands down the best narrating I've ever heard. Narration will make or break an audio book for me. Superb work here! The story is gripping as well. This is worth the listen 100%!

Historia
In this brave and moving memoir, Corey Feldman is revealing the truth about what his life was like behind the scenes: His is a past that included physical, drug, and sexual abuse, a dysfunctional family from which he was emancipated at age fifteen, three high-profile arrests for drug possession, a nine-month stint in rehab, and a long, slow crawl back to the top of the box office.

Unexpected wonderful!
Revisado: 05-19-19
Well written, superbly narrated, interesting all the way through. I have a new respect for Corey after listening to him tell his story. This book isn't really about naming names of the accused molesters in Hollywood film making (although it does clue you in) but rather a story about Corey's life in general, his struggles, his successes, his passions and triumphs. I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. He also does amazing voice impressions of the people he discusses throughout the book which make it extra entertaining. Bravo Corey Feldman!

Excellent!
Revisado: 02-08-19
This book is exactly what I was looking for. It provides real life scenarios of work situations and the various types of coworkers we all work with. The author does a great job at having you look at both sides of the coin. This book gave me clarity during a difficult time training a peer at work who didn't have the emotional maturity to accept corrections with her work. I highly recommend this book. Well narrated, is direct and to the point. Easy to listen to.

Good book but not the audio version
Revisado: 08-08-18
I have the hard copy of this book but couldn't find time to squeeze in the reading so I got the audio version. I got 3 chapters in and had to stop. The narration sounds robotic. I couldn't bare to listen. I went back to the actual book. Much better.
