A How To Book... that's missing How To Advice.
Revisado: 04-12-25
I'm a tactical person. When I teach someone how to do something, it's important to talk theory and what's possible, so that the stage is set. But only as a preface to the tactics. The theory will help the person understand the value of the steps or tactics I'm going to share. In my opinion, the tactics and steps are the gold. That's what's really going to make the difference and make an impact.
I was hoping for tactics in this book, but came away without a single one. He basically let me know that there are a ton of things I could be doing, and many I should be doing. Ok, great. I need to know for sure, according to my business and my goals, which is the best path. Once I know that, what are the specific tactics that will lead to the result I want.
That seems obvious to me for any "How To" book, so why this book doesn't include any specific strategy, formula, or tactics is beyond me. The title of the book, the cover imagery, the subtitle... they made me a promise of what was inside. But that promise wasn't kept. I don't recommend this book.

Helpful and fantastic book.
Revisado: 12-18-19
I love this book! I’m going to be listening to it again. The authors own narration was fantastic. But at the end of each chapter with a summary section, which was good, except the guys voice is irritating.
I have listened to many hundreds of business, marketing, self-help, books. This one is paradigm shifting. This one is actionable. I do highly recommend it for entrepreneurs stepping into leadership.

An unexpected thrilling adventure. Wow!
Revisado: 11-01-19
There are many things I love about this book. The characters became real people in my mind. I understood and felt their emotions. The description of places, objects, and experiences made everything believable.
If you are looking for a book that will take you on a roller coaster ride, pull at your heart strings, and paint a vivid picture in your mind, you’ve found it. I can’t wait to start book 2.

Excited for book 3
Revisado: 10-27-19
I enjoyed the book and I’m excited for book 3. The Narration is great.
There was a point where I felt like were were spending too much time in the mind of the bad guys. Some gore I don’t know if I’d want my daughter to read. It picked back up and was a riveting ending.

I’m a man - one of the best books I’ve ever read!
Revisado: 03-29-19
When I first saw this book come across my audible recommendations, I looked into it, but decided that as a man it must not be for me. Several months later a friend recommended it, and I instantly downloaded it. Such a good choice!
This really is an amazing book it’s five stars in every category without question. It’s help me personally, and it’s helped me better understand my wife and women. I hope my wife will read or listen. She doesn’t enjoy books like this as much as I do, but I really feel she’ll love it if she gives it a chance. More importantly, I think it will help her find the happiness that she so desperately wants.
Vulnerability is something that I value you deeply, and I admire Rachel and her bravery and willingness to take us there. Thank you! I’ll be listening to this audiobook many times.

A lot of bad advice mixed in with the good
Revisado: 08-11-18
I’ve been a distant fan of Amy for a while. I have seen her do many impressive things. I recently heard her speak at a conference and even ran into her in an elevator. I quickly ordered her book on audible.
There is a lot of good info in here... but as the book progressed into giving specific advice. I was surprised at how frequently I found myself disagreeing with her completely. As a reference only, I currently manage many successful YouTube channels. One of the generates 7 figures of revenue. If I would have followed her advice, that channels revenue would probably be 5 figures.
I like Amy and want her to succeed, but her advice in this book will be harmful for many who really want success on YouTube.

Historia
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introverts—Rosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniak—that we owe many of the great contributions to society.

This book gets better and better the more you read/listen.
Revisado: 06-15-18
I admit that about 25% of the way in, I considered moving on to my next book selection. I felt that what I had heard was valuable, but that I’d gotten the message. I’m so glad I kept listening.
I feel that this book has caused a paradigm shift in the way I see my own personality. I’m an introvert that loves succeeding in extroverted ways. Most of my clients are extroverts. The qualities I admire in others are extroverted.
Now I see my inherent abilities and gifts more strongly, and for the great attributes they are. I also see the extroverted attributes I long for more clearly, and have narrowed down the list.
I have permission to a deep thinker, and not be ashamed of it.
I love the stories and examples. I loved the in depth explanations. The way this book ended summed everything up in a way that was really helpful to me as a parent.
I highly recommend this book.

It is, at heart, a book about creativity - but it is also, as Pixar cofounder and president Ed Catmull writes, “an expression of the ideas that I believe make the best in us possible”.

Definitely one of the best audiobooks I've ever listen to! And that's saying something because I listen to at least two per month.
