Great Finale
Revisado: 06-10-18
Having read the first two I was keen to finish this saga and was not disappointed. Held my interest from beginning to end and amazingly even introduced new monsters to scare us. Felt some real emotion for the characters and felt like cheering at the conclusion. A very satisfactory and fulfilling read.

Spellbinding
Revisado: 05-08-18
There were times when I was so rapt it was spellbinding. To start the narration was perfect, the story just drew me further and further in and some of the technical scenes were totally believable. All the characters came alive and it all made sense (how bizarre is that). Towards the end it was just so lovely. I could not recommend it highly enough and hope no one is disappointed. It was really quite special.

Revisado: 11-12-17
Wow, the first book wetted my appetite but the second was even better. Fast and furious, tense and exciting, original and compelling. It even had a storyline which made it so much more readable and you engage with the characters. Imagination at its best. Where;s book III?

From beginning to end I was held enthralled so much so I had find out if the dog had survived before I could go to sleep. Beautifully read and the best of English language to describe such a desolate and melancholy tale. I cannot imagine a better read in this particular genre,

A book we should all read
Revisado: 09-02-17
What made the experience of listening to In Order to Live the most enjoyable?
The narrator made it more natural and took you right into the feelings involved
What did you like best about this story?
How much I learned and realised about a regime that expects worship at the expense of life
Which character – as performed by Eji Kim – was your favorite?
Obviously the main character, the whole book revolved round her, and her intelligence came through and thankfully she survived to help and inform all of us
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think it was when she found her sister, I had tears in my eyes
Any additional comments?
I would tell everyone to read this, we need to understand how lucky we are to live in a country with freedom, freedom we should never take for granted. But for the grace of God we could have been born into such a country.

So hard to put down a compelling read
Revisado: 08-19-17
What made the experience of listening to The Chemist the most enjoyable?
It was not only unexpected but totally original. I got into each character, no exceptions, and kept thinking this cannot get any more interesting or surprising and it did.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Obviously I suppose the female chemist and her role was so compelling and she had it so together, was competent, quick thinking and skilled.
What about Ellen Archer’s performance did you like?
I reckon he did a great job, never lost my interest for one moment
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have loved to but actually it was nice to look forward to and oh did I feel empty when I had finished.

Funny, heartwarming and one of the best
Revisado: 07-26-17
What did you love best about Good Muslim Boy?
It made me realise we are all the same, naughty boys are naughty the world over, young men have the same fears and worries and family is important
What did you like best about this story?
The journey made by Osamah from a child to adult and all the incredible problems that beset him everywhere.
Which character – as performed by Osamah Sami and David Tredinnick – was your favorite?
Osamah himself obviously and he was the perfect peson to narrate. But I had a great admiration for his father who dealt with his (shall we say wayward) son in a very sympathetic and caring way. As a leading cleric this surprised me.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A Good Muslim Boy is fine, perhaps Trying to be a Good Muslim Boy might be more accurate
Any additional comments?
Osamah is a funny and likeable character. I was lucky enough to hear him talk about his book and he is no different. His narration makes the book so personal and real I absolutly loved everything about it.

A pleasant relaxing non taxing read
Revisado: 07-14-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Heiress of Linn Hagh to be better than the print version?
I only read audible
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The descriptions of the forest, woods and surrounding areas, very evocative
What three words best describe Michael Page’s performance?
I think he did his best and mostly achieved a good variety
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No,just enjoyed it
Any additional comments?
Could not put it up the top of my recommendations but now and again its nice to read a detective story that does not tie you up in knots and you can put down and pick up easily. I could not say it would please everyone who might want more gore but for me it romped along very pleasantly.

Historia
It's 1864 in downtrodden Lowell, Massachusetts. The Civil War has taken its toll on the town - leaving the economy in ruin and its women in dire straits. That is, until Asa Mercer arrives on a peculiar, but providential, errand: he seeks high-minded women who can exert an elevating influence in Seattle, where there are ten men for every woman. Mail-order brides, yes, but of a certain caliber.

Slow start but well worth reading so glad I stayed
Revisado: 07-07-17
What made the experience of listening to Mercer Girls the most enjoyable?
The element of historical fact made this so much more enjoyable. Might not suit everyone but I reckon most women will enjoy and identify with the read. No problem picking this one up.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Mercer Girls?
The transformation of the ultra religious member of the group and how they worked together to help their friend.
Have you listened to any of Amy McFadden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Was not over keen on the narrator but got used to her eventually.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The realisation of how helpless women were and how hard they had to fight against men's bigotry and arrogance to gain acceptance. I found myself getting angry and also thankful of how far we have come
Any additional comments?
A really good read for the right group of women

Quirky characters and an unusual story line
Revisado: 06-28-17
What did you love best about Crimson Lake?
I loved the diversity of characters and the original story line. So much of it was unexpected which make it a compulsive read. Loved every bit of it
What was one of the most memorable moments of Crimson Lake?
I loved the goose story line but also the awful repercussions of being wrongly accused and the havoc it wreaks with your life.
What does Lani Tupu bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
IF I am honest I find I get a totally different experience when listening to audible books against reading myself. I stopped participating in my Book Club as it felt like I was reading a totally different book. The reading was compulsive and I could not put it down.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely
