Complex and intriguing

Intriguing story with twists that I didn't see coming. The narrator's voice was pleasant and draws the listener in, captivating them until the end. If you like suspense, you'll love this book.

Funny, feel good listen

This story was funny and immersive. Amazing sounds qualify and performances by narrators. Taraji P. Henson and Tracy Ellis Ross were recognizable voices and I could picture them as their characters. I laughed out loud all the way through this!

I'm getting lost

The narrator is constantly talking to herself - random thoughts, noises and eating. The one person and her inner thoughts spoken outloud - what the heck am I listening to?

Loved this series!

Immersive and entertaining! This show was amazing, and it reminded me of my first experience with radio shows as a child. This show transports you in with the sounds, acting and storyline. Each episode was a deep and satisfying layer. The conclusion was perfect, even though I want more of this show because it was perfectly entertaining.
I would never do you the disservice of spoiling the story - listen to this one for yourself!

Glacial pace and build up

There was an overly long buildup to the "secret" that turned out to be anticlimactic. The characters weren't interesting. The emotional descriptions of every little thing leading up to the secret raised the expectations for the reveal to be worthy of the buildup. The secret was understated, predictable and like an afterthought.

Well performed

The production itself was nice, immersive and entertaining. The story was predictable and lacked development. I figured out the twists long before the ending. The heroes of the story are disappointing - they're judgemental, self-serving and self righteous. The teaser at the end of the book didn't make me want more from them.

Feel good love story

I enjoyed this love story. The story was warm and cozy on a Sunday afternoon. The light humor and story was so great for my mood.
The narration and sound performance was excellent. The performance drew me into the story with so much detail - it was as rich as watching a movie!
I have read several of the author's books, and this is as good as all the rest. They are all really good.

A rollicking ride!

Excellent story and narration. It kept me listening even at times when I thought I knew what was going to happen. I saw a couple of the twists coming, but I was surprised byany more and a long for a rollicking ride.

A Good Diversion

This was a slow burn for me. I left it and picked it back up over a few weeks. I wanted to find the rest of the story, but, I wasn't in a rush. This book didn't disappoint - there was enough intrigue to keep me coming back. The narration was excellent and the story itself was interesting. The ending wasn't that surprising - but, some elements were completely unknown until the end. The very end felt rushed - like an idea that was tacked on as an after thought although the ending could have stood alone. I recommend listening for yourself.
