Dick Hill did such a good job until now. Why, oh why, did he change his characterizations of so many other books?! Don't let this narration prevent you from listening to the others by Hill in the series.

I can't say enough wonderful things about it. The only thing that bothers me at all is that it names 5 of Bob's 6 children, leaving me to wonder what the other child's name is every time I listen. Ah well. That aside, it's perfect, in my humble opinion. Kudos to casting!

One of my all time favorites!

I can't say enough about The Wheel of Time series. It is incredibly detailed, involved, addictive, & populated with unique, believable characters (portrayed beautifully by the narrators). This first book does an excellent job of introducing the world, its ideas/customs, & main characters. I absolutely recommend falling in love with this series.

I love everything about this book. It is engaging and fun, and Neil Gaiman always does an incredible job in his narration & characterizations. I've listened to it several times already. Absolutely highly recommended.

I love this series

These books do a great job of capturing the Middle Ages, the monastic life, & the role the church played in every day life. Add to that great characters, good plots, early forensics, & a narrator whose voice fits the story perfectly, and what's not to love? (Note: I don't care much for the versions read by a woman, simply because there are SO many male characters that it just works better when read by a man.)

This first mystery does a wonderful job of easing the reader into the time & place, and introducing all of the characters.
