what a fun and insane ride. I usually put on audiobooks to do chores or something around the house, this is one of the few books I had to stop what I was doing and really dive in. so damn good.

Fun horror that will get under your skin

I've been avoiding this book for a while because it felt like one of those books that everyone raved about and I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype.
I was pleasantly wrong.
It was eerie, fun to guess what was gonna happen next and where the story was going. It clearly cared for its source material and I appreciated that. I can't imagine how hard it is to write a horror novel from the first person perspective. Respect.
The narrator did a good job, I had to rewind it a couple times to catch what he was saying, but overall a very good performance.

I read this book and decided it would be a good story to listen to while I run. it was performed so well and I enjoyed it so much the second time going through it on audio. Definitely a fun experience and I was able to pay attention better as I listened rather than me missing small details as I read. highly recommended.

I usually dislike 1st person horror, but Jon made it so fun to follow the twists and turns of the story that I completely got sucked in and was actually looking forward to work so I could finish this book. highly recommended.

yeah, I get why this book was so highly recommended to me. Fun. Fast. Didn't go ANYWHERE I thought it was gonna go. I really was expecting something more "escape room" like and ended up delighted to have something with more bite and plot.
the Narrator was a perfect choice. Easy to tell the difference between characters and made the book easy to follow. Great work.
