Historia
It's been five years since Livy and her family have visited Livy's grandmother in Australia. Now that she's back, Livy has the feeling she's forgotten something really, really important about Gran's house. It turns out she's right. Bob, a short, greenish creature dressed in a chicken suit, didn't forget Livy, or her promise. He's been waiting five years for her to come back, hiding in a closet like she told him to. He can't remember who-or what-he is, where he came from, or if he even has a family. But five years ago Livy promised she would help him find his way back home.

"on a scale of 1-10, I give it a 10. My favorite part of the book was when Bob found....spoiler... but made sure you knew he really cared about Livi.

Historia
Mackenzie Allen Phillips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack one wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

I'm especially found of this book
Revisado: 11-13-17
This is not only one of my all time favorite books, but I have now re-listened to it so many times that it is now a part of my very soul and understanding of the world around me. This is a book that I believe that nearly everyone should consider reading.
Nearly everyone for one very specific reason. This may not be for someone who has small children has lived through the tragedy of a small child recently.

Revisado: 11-13-17
The whole book has felt like setup for a story that is hiltherto untold. I keep expecting some amount of action to occur but it HASN"T. Yet, I can't put it down...Perhaps THIS is actually Ashmole 782 and I am now under some spell... On the the next book!

Great book, but beware of the cliffhanger
Revisado: 11-13-17
This was a great book and I really enjoyed it. Please beware that it ends on a cliffhanger and the final book has not come out as an audiobook yet. I am sure it will, but I am going to guess that it could be sometime next year given that Mr. Cadman only published the book about a month ago.

Historia
After accidentally discovering the possible existence of a second Guardian book, Lusam and his party are remorselessly hunted high into the Elveen mountains by the Empire agents, who are intent on killing or capturing them. What they discover there may very well change the balance of power in their favor against the Thule Empire. But their discovery will count for nothing if they cannot reach Lamuria in time to try and stop the massive invasion force sent by Lord Zelroth.

Glad a kept going
Revisado: 11-13-17
I straight up did not enjoy the first book, but am glad I kept going. The 2nd book is where the story legitimately started to pick up and book 3 is where it gets good. I suspect that the 3rd book may be the story that Mr. Cadman had in mind to write in the first place. Although it's not great, do read the First and second book before you read this one but rest assured that it will be worth it. I can't wait for the final book to come out as an audiobook!

Historia
Lusam grew up in the relative safety of the Elveen mountains with his grandmother. She taught him the basics of magic and discovered, quite by accident, that he possessed a unique skill never seen before: the ability to hide his magical aura from the mage-sight of others. Dark secrets surround Lusam's origins, and the dark agents of the Empire will stop at nothing to kill Lusam.

I REALLY wanted to like it
Revisado: 10-16-17
Ok, so I am generally a fan of books of this genre. Boy/Girl discovers hitherto unknown abilities or powers and goes on an adventure. This book fits solidly into that category and it is set up very well. The reason I stopped listening is because there are too many things that are handed to the characters by the author that should have required the characters to have worked it out. There are too many times when characters just happen to know how to do something to make sense in the context of others things that are the happening that the characters don't understand. For example, very early in the story, Lusam discovers a books that somehow magically teaches him to use his powers, but the book fails to mention anything about magic utilization zapping his strength when he uses it...and it makes him look incredibly thick that he can't figure that out on his own. Additionally, the story tended to build and build to the point that when it finally arrives at the thing it was building to I was annoyed that the story hadn't just said it yet.
Like I said, I REALLY wanted to like the book. It sets up the characters and develops them decently, but then really started to fall flat for me. I could say more, but don't want to spoil the story for others. If you download it, I hope your experience was better than mine.

In the war for control of the galaxy between the armies of the dark side and the Republic, former Jedi Master turned ruthless Sith Lord Count Dooku has grown ever more brutal in his tactics. Despite the powers of the Jedi and the military prowess of their clone army, the sheer number of fatalities is taking a terrible toll. And when Dooku orders the massacre of a flotilla of helpless refugees, the Jedi Council feels it has no choice but to take drastic action: targeting the man responsible for so many war atrocities, Count Dooku himself.

Jedi love story but makes good points
Revisado: 07-05-17
If you could sum up Dark Disciple: Star Wars in three words, what would they be?
Not just two-sided.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I think the thing that this story points out that can be missed is that there is not just good and bad alone. Instead, there are a wide range of light and dark forces and run along a vast continuum. While the Jedi tend to stay fairly pure to the light and the Sith stay pretty pure to the dark, this story contends that that is not necessarily the case with all of the rest of the force-sensitive groups.
What about Marc Thompson’s performance did you like?
He fades into the voices and the characters well enough that you can forget that it is all the voice of a single person that you are listening to.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really, I will be honest in saying that the book sort of dries up about 75 percent of the way through I gets hard to pay attention to for a bit...
Any additional comments?
If you are not a fan of love stories, you will likely get bored with this particular installment. While it is done well, it is a strong majority of the content of the book which can get a bit too much for those who are not big fans of the romance tales.

Better than the movie
Revisado: 01-03-17
Where the movie seemed rushed in order to touch on all of the plot points needed in order to keep the story on track, the book had the luxury of slowing down and giving the attention to detail needed.
Alexander Adams did a great job as well. His use of tone and pacing brought the story to life in a talented manner.
