Good Series
Revisado: 03-10-24
Listened to the series with my boyfriend while we did errands. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It may be for middle grade but as adults we still enjoyed it. It was creative and have good moral lessons. Would recommend.

Solid Story
Revisado: 09-09-23
I'm giving 5 stars, if 4.5 was an option I'd go with that. I truly enjoyed the story and cannot think of a single complaint. Narration was great, character development was thorough, even the supporting characters. It was too good to rate it as just a 4.
I ended up caring enough that not only did I have tears but I CRIED and I would happily read a sequel to find out what happens next.

I don't typically get Mystery/Thrillers series in audio. I don't want to end up having to switch to a physical book at some point because the other ones aren't on sale or in 2-for-1 sales (which is 98% of how I spend my credits), which is how I got this one probably a year ago. I finally put it on and am slightly mad at myself for waiting. This story was fantastic, the character building was thorough. I could not guess what was going to happen. Unlike a lot of others in this genre it was refreshing to hear a new story. The whole series is now on my wish list, and I will probably look for the rest of the physical books instead of waiting and hoping for sales of them.
The narration was good also, and am glad the rest of the series has the same narrator. There were some random sentences throughout that sounded recorded and spliced in at another time, but not often enough to detract from the story. Just enough to notice it.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

I hardly ever leave a review, Very rarely do I buy a book that's not on sale or part of a 2 for 1. This one I paid full price for. With not a second of regret. I'm glad she read it herself, hearing someone else recount her trauma would not have had the same effect. I appreciated Jennette before but after hearing her tale I am a lifelong Jennette admirer.
I hope writing this book helped and I hope one day you are able to truly heal and forgive your mother.

Hello, and welcome to my podcast. I first went viral on TikTok after telling the story of how I got stuck buying 100 tacos on a first date. Since then, it’s been a wild and crazy ride. I now have millions of eyeballs watching my videos on a daily basis (which is just a terrifying number of eyeballs, honestly). Each week on my podcast Funny Cuz It’s True, I’ll be sitting down with my favorite creators, friends and comedians to find the stories that have stuck with them and changed their lives in small ways. Not so funny moments that have become funny over time. I want to know how they ...

Watching/listening to Elyse's dreams come to fruition has been incredible. Elyse u were my first follow on Tic Tok, about a year ago. I cried for you when the Audible commercial came out, and I laughed and cried for you during this also.
All the episodes have been great. This one though, fantastic. You were so excited. More thought pause breaks in this episode than any of the other ones.
I look forward to every episode.

Eight years ago, Grace McMullen broke Sutton Whitlock’s heart when she walked away. But it was only to save him from the baggage of her own troubled past. Now all she wants is to make sure he’s okay. Only everything she learns about him online says otherwise. According to his social media accounts, he placed roots in her hometown, married a look-alike, and even named his daughter Grace. He clearly hasn’t moved on. In fact, it’s creepy. So Grace does what any concerned ex-girlfriend would do: She moves home…and watches him.

Unremarkable
Revisado: 09-11-22
Was good background noise while working. There wasn't a whole lot to miss if I forgot to focus on listening. The story was lackluster, the ending was a tad unexpected so that was a nice surprise after suffering through the rest of it. I'm sure I'll forget even listening to it (especially the details) within 3 months.
Narration was better than the story.
If I would have used a credit and not a 2 for 1 sale I'd probably return it and I have NEVER returned a story of any format.
