Historia
Almost everything about our day-to-day lives - and the broader scheme of human culture - can be found on the Internet. But what is it physically? And where is it really? Our mental map of the network is as blank as the map of the ocean that Columbus carried on his first Atlantic voyage. The Internet, its material nuts and bolts, is an unexplored territory. Until now. In Tubes, Andrew Blum goes inside the Internet's physical infrastructure and flips on the lights, revealing a fresh look at the online world we think we know.

This book was interesting to a degree but it failed to deliver the real meat of the story of the Internet and it got a little dull in certain parts of the book.

What did you love best about The Ice Limit?
This is an extremely engaging story. Surely, this will be made into a movie. It has all of the elements of a thriller.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Eli Glenn, as Palmer Lloyd said, can do anything.

Historia
Moneyball is a quest for something that money can't buy: the secret of success in baseball. The real jackpot is a cache of numbers collected by a brotherhood of baseball enthusiasts: software engineers, statisticians, Wall Street analysts, and physics professors. These numbers prove that the traditional measure of success for players and teams are fatally flawed. This information has been around for years, and nobody paid it any mind. And then came Billy Beane, General Manager of the Oakland A's.

Period Piece but compelling.
Revisado: 08-17-11
This is an interesting listen, although the concept behind "Moneyball" hasn't stood the test of time as the Oakland A's are no longer winning much these days. Nevertheless, the story is interesting and delivered brilliantly by Michael Lewis.
