Historia
Leslie Anne Greene Carter is the Last Original Wife among her husband Wesley's wildly successful Atlanta social set. His cronies have all traded in the mothers of their children they promised to love and cherish - till death did them part - for tanned-and-toned young Barbie brides. If losing the social life and close friends she adored wasn't painful enough, a series of setbacks shake Les's world and push her to the edge. She's had enough of playing the good wife to a husband who thinks he's doing her a favor keeping her around. Now, she's going to take some time forherself - in the familiar comforts and stunning beauty of Charleston, her beloved hometown.

Is this really her first book?
Revisado: 10-23-15
What made the experience of listening to Dream Things True the most enjoyable?
If this is a first book, it's very, very good. I could feel the anxiety and intense fear of the characters. The story moved along at a good pace and the lives of the people were believable.
What other book might you compare Dream Things True to and why?
While one could call it a coming of age story, it really is unlike other stories in that the mixture of the cultures creates a different level of teen-age angst.
Have you listened to any of Almarie Guerra’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not heard her read other books, but she did a fantastic job with this one.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listen to books from home to work and back again. I looked forward to getting into the car so that I could continue with the story. I could have listened at home - but I wanted to enjoy the book without interruption.
Any additional comments?
Good story, unexpected levels of tension and interaction. Congratulations on a great book.

Historia
An historic literary event: the publication of a newly discovered novel, the earliest known work from Harper Lee, the beloved, best-selling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. Assumed to have been lost, the manuscript was discovered in late 2014.

Not many can reveal the thoughts, words and deeds of the south the way Harper Lee does. She's an American treasure.
