Another hit

I love Lucky’s courage and convictions. Her honorable nature and friendships. This, like the previous in the series is fast paced action and world building with Tanaka’s character coming alive. For a man who originally tried to kill Lucky, he has me rooting for his transformation.
I am excited to get to the next book where Lucky (after extensive training) will deal with WBD (the corporation that has been hunting her).
I love that the book addresses corporate domination and that our main character takes on the corporations involved in evil deeds and sabotages and exposes them!
I look forward to the next book but desperately hope there are more after that!

Binged the series

One adventure after another and it kept me wanting more. I liked the main character. She acts with integrity in a world of violence and deceit. I was so let down when I found that I had reached the end until the next book comes out. Can’t wait.

A great story of the evolution of a prince

Prince Harry tells his story with unflinching honesty. The good, the lonely, the dysfunctional, the inspirational and courageous. It is not a story to badmouth his family, in fact he relates many examples of loving moments. But it is a family who sacrifices each other for positive press. The villain in this story is the British tabloid media hat hound and bait him throughout his life. That attack his reputation and destroy real people for making the mistake of caring about him. It is a fantastic read.

Could not finish, didn't like any of characters

I really liked some of T.A. White's other books but this one had me disliking the characters more and more throughout the book. The main character justifies and assists a warlord (who not surprisingly becomes her lover) in finding and killing villages of people. Entire villages. It is justified as "they did not give enough of a tithe of grain or people for their war machine (which the book admits is so much of their limited food that it will leave the villagers starving or removes family members, etc). They also killed a village because the adults in the village engaged in horrible human sacrifice. But what about the victims in this village. They were apparently killed as well. Each burned village is also salted so nothing will grow there again for generations. Stupid. She justifies leading this warlord and his troops to her highland village and her real people's hidden capital. For what? She is OK with the murders if she gets to sleep in the leader's bed? She is protected so it is OK? I just could not continue. Wanted to sponge this from my brain,

Faith hunter always writes good fiction

Lives these short stories that give more back story to her series. I love the Jane yellow rock series and am always excited when a new book or story comes out. Always a hit
