Story was fine
Revisado: 12-23-24
The story was fine, but the narrator was not. The accents were not good, and also she spoke as one character in another character's voice. Horrible Australian accent, child's voice was grating.
What seemed like a central tenant of the story (the stalker) had such a flimsy resolution. Sophisticated attacks, carried out by a 16 year old?! Poor story development imho. Happy this was a free title, and not one I paid for.

Only 1 hour and free
Revisado: 03-13-24
Only 1 hour & free , so sort of worth the investment. It seemed like it was written by a 10 year old, or an Ai who relied on troupes rather that life experience to write this.

Historia
Just my luck - my new next door neighbor is a unicorn. Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because - get this - he's a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad. Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched. He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he's a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.

Historia
In a time when our political and cultural views feel more polarized than ever, Tyson provides a much-needed antidote to so much of what divides us, while making a passionate case for the twin chariots of enlightenment—a cosmic perspective and the rationality of science. After thinking deeply about how science sees the world and about Earth as a planet, the human brain has the capacity to reset and recalibrates life’s priorities, shaping the actions we might take in response. No outlook on culture, society, or civilization remains untouched.

Historia
Is bourbon the quintessential American liquor? Bourbon is not just alcohol - the amber-colored drink is deeply ingrained in American culture and tangled in American history. From the early days of raw corn liquor to the myriad distilleries that have proliferated around the country today, bourbon is a symbol of the United States. This course traces bourbon's entire history, from the 1700s, with Irish, Scottish, and French settlers setting up stills and making distilled spirits in the New World, through today's booming resurgence.

What a wonderful lens to see history through. I love this kind of journey, and it was well executed by the author & narrator. I highly recommend the History of Bourbon.

Historia
Once upon a time, a princess slept in a magical tower cloaked in thorns and roses. When she woke, she found no Prince Charming, only a surfeit of hair and grotesquely long fingernails - which was, honestly, better than some creep who acted without consent. She cut off her long braids and used them to escape. But she kept the beard because it made a great disguise. This is not a story about finding true love’s kiss - it's a story about finding yourself. On a pirate ship. Where you belong.

Disappointed
Revisado: 02-09-20
This story is nothing more than the authors rattling off as much innuendos in one sentence as possible. Previously, I have thoroughly enjoyed these authors' works, so this is very unfortunate. Maybe they needed a payday, that is how this book comes across, hastily written filled with an ear beating. My condolences to Luke Daniels who performed even this absolute trash of a story with skill and passion.

Apocalyptic fever sweeps through Europe, infecting even the most rational individuals, leaving all to wonder if they are seeing the end times - or an hour when new heroes will emerge from the ruins of cataclysmic defeat.

Too many cooks ruin the soup.
Revisado: 08-13-18
I did listen to this entire series. The prequels that were written by one author are quite good, and I looked forward to the series. Listening to the series was like trying to overhear a conversation of many people and know what was being said. It was not concise at all. Luke Daniels performance was excellent as always, but even that could not make up for a loosely stringed together story line.

Historia
In the late nineteenth century a mysterious group of English martial arts aficionados provided Sir Richard F. Burton, well-known expert on exotic languages and historical swordsmanship, a collection of long-lost manuscripts to translate. Burton’s work was subsequently misplaced, only to be discovered by a team of amateur archaeologists in the ruins of a mansion in Treiste. From Burton's translations and the original source material, the epic tale of The Mongoliad was recreated.
