Historia
We are facing a future of unbounded complexity. Whether that complexity is harnessed to build a world that is safe, pleasant, humane and profitable, or whether it causes us to careen off a cliff into an abyss of mind-numbing junk is an open question. The challenges and opportunities - technical, business, and human - that this technological sea change will bring are without precedent. Entire industries will be born and others will be laid to ruin as our society navigates this journey.

Fuzzy minded crap. Self-aggrandizing. Awful presenter.
I endured it to the end thinking that there would be some specific information about their vision. No such luck. In the end I felt cheated out of the time I invested in reading it.

Enlightening
Revisado: 10-21-11
I agree with the majority of other reviewers, it is very good, so I will use the remainder of my words to make a suggestion which I hope others will echo.
In addition to the spoken audio books, Audible should make pure Text-to-Speech books available. This would allow publication of a greatly expanded selection and substantially reduce the publication cost and hopefully the cost to we the consumers.

Historia
This provocative book introduces a brand-new view of technology. It suggests that technology as a whole is not a jumble of wires and metal but a living, evolving organism that has its own unconscious needs and tendencies. Kevin Kelly looks out through the eyes of this global technological system to discover "what it wants." He uses vivid examples from the past to trace technology's long course and then follows a dozen trajectories of technology into the near future to project where technology is headed.

The book presents information that is essential for one to understand what is happening. It puts everything (or almost everything) into perspective.

Historia
At the dawn of the 20th century, humanity was facing global disaster. Mass starvation, long predicted for the fast-growing population, was about to become a reality. A call went out to the worlds scientists to find a solution. This is the story of the two enormously gifted, fatally flawed men who found it: the brilliant, self-important Fritz Haber and the reclusive, alcoholic Carl Bosch. Together they discovered a way to make bread out of air, built city-sized factories, controlled world markets, and saved millions of lives.

This guy is a real idiot. I suggest to Audible that they remove the minimum of fifteen words for a review. The first six words sum it up nicely.
