Historia
You would think after helping save her boyfriend from an eternity in Hell that things would go back to normal. Well, as normal as life can be when you can see souls and your boyfriend is Death. But for Pagan Moore, things are just getting weirder. The high school quarterback and reigning heartthrob, Leif Montgomery, is missing. While the town is in a frenzy of worry, Pagan is a nervous wreck for other reasons. Apparently good ‘ol Leif isn’t your average teenage boy. He isn’t even human.

Revisado: 10-05-23
Annoying voices & shallow characters. Figured I'd find out what happened after book 1... ended up listening at 2.5x speed to get it done. Doubt I'll do book 3... there is potential in the story, but the characters need more depth and growth.

only part of the whole story... (Read Seaborn 1st)
Revisado: 10-03-23
I listened to this a long time ago (like, last year...) and found it interesting and intriguing...but not life changing...
Fast Forward to present day where I am listening to Iceborn (The Seaborn Cycle #2) by the same author, and I start to think, "huh, this sounds familiar..." and I keep guessing what's going to happen next, but only with the same POV (there are 3POVs in Iceborn)... that's when I realized this is just the story from Bela's POV, and SO much has already happened, including a lot of world building.
So, while I enjoyed this one, I highly recommend skipping it and listening to Seaborn first.
Also, Elizabeth Evans is amazing as always.

It's not easy to forget...
Revisado: 09-30-23
This book really made me think about how our memories shape who we are. That classic argument of Nature vs. Nurture. And is it easier to remember or forget? Who is better off? Those who don't remember who they are? Or those who still remember everything?

How did this get published? At first I was annoyed with the narration, but then I realized, she was doing the best she could with what she was given.

Picks up after Part 1
Revisado: 12-19-22
I got bored with this one, and had written it off as a DNF, but decided to give it one last shot. I wasn't a fan of Dakota narrating either, but it did Fir the character. I sped it up to 2x speed, and then I hit part 2 and felt like I was in a completely different book. it got better after that, and I did actually want to finish it. I just feel like part 1 was too long and too slow.

cute story, awful narrator
Revisado: 12-22-21
I found the voice of the narrator to be annoying, it wasn't too bad after a while except when she did Carly's voice, and most of the female voices. the story kept me interested long enough to finish anyways.
