Haven, Haven, HAVEN!!!
Revisado: 04-19-23
If you have a terrible memory, the author reminds you constantly that his name is Haven Nightfall in every book and darn near every chapter. The story line drags between three books and is a slow burn romance between "Orphan" and Haven Nightfall. He calls her Orphan so much I forgot her actual name (Its Anna). Heck she reminds you every three chapters she does not know who she is and that she is an orphan. The mental anguish that Orphan goes through is mostly inner turmoil with Haven's brother being the meanie here and there. The real Greek Mythology comes out with the trials and the roles the other gods play in the story. As the story progresses to book 3, now we are getting somewhere! She finds out who her parents are, and the battle begins. Had me in a chokehold at the end as my eyes glossed over, and I ignored practically everything and everybody in the last 12 chapters as I was that hooked. HEA for her and Haven. The book was good, definitely something to recommend a friend who likes Greek mythology, a dash of action and a hint of spice.

I make magic dresses for a living. I'm not rich or pretty enough to wear them, but I love what I do, working out of my family's shop on Carnaby Street in London - until the fae show up. It's a straight-up kidnapping, and before I know it, I'm brought to this wintry place of cold hearts and beautiful nightmares, but that's not the worst part.

Quite the Surprise...Ends in Cliffhanger
Revisado: 02-15-23
No steam, no smut, just a traditional fae story about the royal selection. However, despite the lack of the steam, the action and storytelling is on point. Could be better with a little cheek clapping but meh. Dahlia is a human dressmaker who lives with mages. She has a pixie as a best friend that no one knows about, and she doesn't know who her parents are. She lives with 3 mages who all are mother figures in her life. As she goes to drop off a dress to a non-paying magical client, she runs into a fae prince. Who later kidnaps her to have her participate in a Queen trial. It is during this trial that she tries to cover up that she is human as they are considered dirty, stupid and despised in their realm. But from the looks of it...she's half fae..half human. As always, in any magical shifter story, the prince is hot and cold when he wants to be, cryptic when he wants to be, and the mean girls are just that, mean. However, just when the story finally picks up and gets good...wham cliffhanger and you gotta buy book two and three. *insert eyeroll* I recommend this read as the main character Dahlia is not a whiny annoying brat but a levelheaded, sometimes confused but smart enough to not do stupid things, lovable character. Dahlia for the win!

Ochoie's magical, highly original The Night's Fable takes listeners from the underbelly of New York to the Mystic Realm, populated by celestial deities, winds and whispers, luminaries and lechers. When Night falls mysteriously ill, his devious brother assumes his duties and sets in motion an intricate series of events involving balls, romances, double-crosses, secret missions, and even a forbidden prophecy. The only way to restore natural order is for the Night to find his Chosen One, a creature who turns out to be the most unexpected hero of all.

Absolutely Dreadful
Revisado: 01-07-23
I couldn’t make it through 15 mins as the narrator sounds like she’s reading through a busted speaker. If you like the white noise then this book is for you. With every word, the speaker hashed and crackled. I switch devices and still got the same effect. But the book is for children, it’s like a bedtime story about night, day, the sun and etc. I like fables but the narrator is absolutely dreadful.

Stephanie Costas has always had a passion for humanity. As a digital forensics examiner, she fights bad guys from the technical front. She needed a vacation in the worst of ways. When she set foot in the gorgeous tropical resort in Greece, she had no idea she'd meet a man claiming to be Hades, god of the Underworld. And she certainly had no idea that he was telling the truth. Her Greek vacation was about to become very...interactive.

Only One Spicy Chapter But Still Worth The Read!
Revisado: 01-06-23
I enjoyed how she captured the greek tale and put a positive spin on it. I enjoy how she incorporates Greek Mythology with today's culture. I enjoy that she does not try to turn Stephanie into Persephone and shows a different side of Hades. I enjoyed the side characters such as Zeus, Stephanies Best Friend and Colleague and the back story of the crime. What I enjoyed most is the part where every loose end is tied up and for once, the character is able to close out the chapter in her previous life, (quitting her job, telling us where her pets goes, etc) before just running off to be with the main love interest. What I didn't like that the book read like it was a spicy book but only had one spicy scene at the end of a chapter that had word play that was erotic but not full on smut. It's truly a slow burn romance with a hint (more like a sprinkle) of spice romance.

Roan King. The uncrowned king of Barnett University. He's like a freaking celebrity around here. It's totally ridiculous. People, by which I mean grown women, actually stalk him on the internet. And around campus. Apparently, he's God's gift to both football and the ladies (I'm using that term loosely). All he has to do is smile, and girls fall right onto their backs before spreading their legs wide. I've heard that he's already plowed his way through half the female population at Barnett.

Typical Jock Nerd Romance
Revisado: 10-03-22
It was recommended on goodreads as a solid romance novel, so I thought I would check it out. It was a nice and typical jock nerd romance book. While it was not as spicy as I am use to, it uses a lot of descriptive words to express the passion between the two main characters. All and all a good, read. Most def a slow burn if you are into books that drag out the two main characters being together.

There are only two ways a human can cross the gates of Bloodstone Institute: as a familiar to one of the Blueblood vampires who attend the elite school or as a snack. I'm neither, but I have to get in at all costs. My brother made a big mistake, and now I have to fix it by stealing from the most powerful and cruel vampire to ever come to Bloodstone, Lucca Della Morte. If that wasn't almost suicidal, I need to get it done before the spell concealing my human nature wears off.

Two Thumbs Up....Well Written
Revisado: 09-28-22
If you are looking for a book that is a little steamy with a surprisingly good story line, this book is for you. There were some chapters that I was like omg...get to the point!!! But other than that, the narrators were excellent and it kept my interest the whole book. A must read!!

Read on Wattpad for Free....
Revisado: 09-25-22
I bought the book to hear it in audio but I read it for free on Wattpad first. It's a very well written story with no magical bs, no white wolf, no extra stronger than superman nonsense. Just a story of a mate coming of age, a stubborn alpha, some jealous she wolves and mild scenes. Good Narration!

Couldn't make it pass Episode 1
Revisado: 09-16-22
This podcast was horrible. It's like Mel went to go google some tips and decided to sprinkle them in with how many people she's coached, met, her accolades and a bunch of other nonsense that by the time you realized what the original topic was, its over. I had to listen to it twice to get the at best 3 tips that she googled. Don't fall for the hype.

Historia
Mark Rivers was a firefighter until he got trapped in a wildfire and suffered third-degree burns on his face and body. After a year of recovering, Mark is trying to piece his life back together but struggles both emotionally and psychologically. He's been a recluse until he forces himself to attend his niece's school play and sees Riley, the school's art teacher. Immediately, Mark feels a connection to her. Maybe it's the kind way she greets his niece or the way the art she created for the school play is reminiscent of his late mom's artwork.

Slow Burn....
Revisado: 08-28-22
This was a good read. Reminds me of a Hallmark Christmas Movie where the two main characters like one another but act shy until the very end and realize they love one another. Mark and Riley are both emotionally damaged people with pasts that make them hesitate to open their hearts. As the story progresses, they give subtle hints that they like one another and Riley is too ditzy to realize that her coworker Dalton likes her and is only after a little action. Especially since Dalton is jealous of Mark, talks down to Mark and about Mark. She continues to entertain his foolishness until she realizes what a jerk he is after numerous people tells her that he is and clearly overlooked his spiteful and mean comments on Mark's appearance. In the end, I enjoy that that Riley and Mark got together. No steamy scenes of course, this is Hallmark Jr lol.

Hallmark Moviesque Type of Book
Revisado: 08-26-22
This book reminded me of a Hallmark Movie. It was well written with characters that were predictable but cute. I enjoyed Hope's character and Brent's enthusiasm to create an actual marriage instead of one for convenience. I did not care for Jackie and her lack of character and her audacity to be mad at her sister Hope. Overall the book is worth listening to. I would watch it if it was an actual Hallmark Movie.
