COMICS SHOULD NOT READ THEIR OWN BOOKS , BECAUSE..

...everything seems to be a joke to comics. Of course there are exceptions. Some time ago, Brett Butler wrote and then narrated her memoir. She is a brilliant comedian and a very smart Person. Her book was read as a straight piece, and it was riveting and memorable.
Ms.Bamford's reading of her story here is tiresome.
Her story and life deserve respect, but she turns it all into a joke.
Maybe her story is a better Read than listen.
But, hats off to Any One who writes a book. 100 percent respect for that.

A brilliant stunning read, a remarkable education, and jolly great fun. Sometimes I would listen to the same chapter twice and both times found different rich wonderful examples of Mr.Rushdie’s writing. Listening to this was a great literary experience Dash looking forward to the Satanic verses coming right up!

This is a riveting book, and brought to life fully, completely, compassionately through this remarkable interpretation.
In reading Kerouac's work in the past, I used to space out alot, lol, but hearing his voice via Ethan Hawke, I began to appreciate what a tremendous writer he was. I understand now, I get it. What a time in history that was.
So appreciate this offering- you've put two geniuses together.

He is a genius. The story is rich and hilarious and wise and one of the great treasures of literature and life. So appreciate the availability of this translation, which Salmon Rushdie acknowledges as when referring to his new quixotic book, which I hope to get to next. Thank you, Audible. Thanks to the wonderful gent who creates Cervantes' world and characters.

This is one of the most astonishing books on so many levels- And I expect to listen to this at least once a year. Ms. Paglia is so very smart, and funny, and I wish I could take a class from her Every Semester until she quits teaching. But as long as we have these precious gifts on Audible she will never really ‘quit’teaching. Thank you so much. And by the way I hope all her work , especially the new one, will also be available in her Voice.
