Good story, but disappointed

The story was good. I am disappointed that a blood test for rabies was part of the story. If there was a blood test that would be great, but brain tissue has to be tested and it requires euthanasia of animal. Wasn’t relevant to the story so why make up something like that. Fiction is fiction, but we learn so much from the story surrounding the fiction.

I found the book brutal. There was not one reason to like any of the characters. Had I known it was part of a series and read the others maybe I would have found it a little interesting. Stand alone I found it horrible. I only finished it because I purchased it.

I kept waiting for a story.

Listened to this for book club. I kept hoping for something to happen and it never really did. It was unrealistic and long. None of us enjoyed it at all.
