Unexpectedly Purposeful

I had no clue this was going to turn dark and vulnerable like that.

definitely not romantasy
definitely not comical
but definitely more impactful than I believed it would be.
I’ve been putting this one off because it was such a popular“romance” and I couldn’t believe I’d want anything to do with the hype. 80k reviews on Audible alone. I was surprised when I realized I was experiencing from the eyes of a woman becoming a victim of abuse. This novel was direct about resilience and breaking generational patterns. It turned out to be more meaningful than her other work. Lily’s perspectives are strikingly and scarily well written. IEWU shines a real light on domestic violence— and it’s about to go on the big screen with Blake Lively as the main. It’s going to be interesting. solid 4/5. the authors note at the end of book?? Sm respect for miss H. ↖️↖️

I really love the crave series as a whole so it was disappointing for this to end so .. anti-climatically? The development of Jackson being gay felt out of character and like the author just made them end up together. I always love the banter and I understand Macy’s change of style but this book was the weakest of the whole series. I knew charm would be hard to follow but this just wasn’t that great of a way to wrap it up. I wish I could’ve seen Heather end up with a vampire and what the hell Hudson was texting the whole time.

Ugh the last adventure

Julie K will always be one of my favorite authors. The development of characters from the start was in depth and captivating. It has been such a journey to watch Megan grow and I hate to see it come to an end! I’ll miss Ash and Puck!! My favorite fae duo. This final adventure closed up all the loose ends and I’m glad everyone was content in the end.

I thought it was nice to see the gang again and I love that it has a similar vibe to the original series but I could agree that Max is an odd motherly figure and did things that felt a little out of character for her. The plot and ending were good though and I think it’s worth the read if you loved maximum ride.

Didn’t think I was going to like it!

I honestly didn’t think I was going to like this book because it wasn’t about our main character but they really did give good insight into who Nestha really is in the struggles that she was dealing with. The blooming relationship between her and Cass was nice and spicy. The ending was all around good but I still wonder about Lucian and Elaine so I hope this isn’t the last book!!

One of my favorite series of all time.

So bittersweet- I never wanted this story to end. Had me and my grandmother hooked on every single word. The characters development and the way the story doesn’t miss any beats. It hit every question I had on the head. I will forever miss these characters and this story. Thank you to the writer and the narrator who actually did well! So much love and appreciation for you both.
