Historia
Gaia is dying. That, at least, is what Dr. Lionel Scott believes. A renowned expert in tropical and infectious diseases, Scott has witnessed the devastating impact of illness and turmoil at critical scale. Society as it exists is untenable, and the direct link to Earth’s death spiral; population levels are out of control and people have allowed disarray and disorder to run rampant. While most are concerned about deadly disease, Scott knows that it is truly humanity itself that will destroy Gaia.

The real life plausability of such events.
Revisado: 04-11-24
As usual Mr. Sandford did excellent research on on his projects. Gene synthesizer and other lab equipment is fairly easy to get. The knowledge of how to do this is well published. So A fictional account can turn into a plausible and real disaster.

Sailors have a four letter word this book
Revisado: 09-14-21
The book started well but all of sudden very graphic sex was introduced. I mean down to gooey and slime. It was not just occasionally but I felt like I was being verbally assaulted on every page . I am not a prude but I was listening by myself and was embarrassed. The Sexual Torture of a female reporter was so over the top I stopped. No more from this author

Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Disappointed in Daniel Silva
Revisado: 08-13-21
Daniel Silva is huge talent that used his popularity and skills to inflict his political views on his readers. I am sure there will be those that champion his political opinions. But for me it was wrenching. I have sense gave up trying to finish the book, and have even tried to return it. However audible said it was ineligible for return. I have over 1500 books in my library so I do not return books on a whim. But this one will definitely not be listened to or read by me or my family. in fact audible you can take it out of my library and not credit me back.

Historia
Jane Whitefield is a Native American guide who leads solitary outcasts through hostile territory to escape the vengeance of their enemies. But the shaded forest paths her Seneca ancestors might have followed on such missions have all been converted to superhighways, and now the safest way stations are crowded urban buildings that offer the camouflage of anonymity. Still, the supply of runaways - and the need for a woman who will take great risks to save them - have never been greater.

Did Thomas Perry really Author this book?
Revisado: 05-31-21
Thomas Perry is such a good author and I automatically by his books when they come out. However, this first in the series is a tough read. To me Vanishing Act belongs in the romance category. If you want to read books with strong believable women I suggest A Town Called Alice by Nevil Shute or Folly by Laurie R. King. I might try another of Perry's Jane Whitfield Novels but I kind of doubt it

Historia
The daughter of a US Senator is monitoring her social media presence when she finds a picture of herself on a strange blog. And there are other pictures...of the children of other influential Washington politicians, walking or standing outside their schools, each identified by name. Surrounding the photos are texts of vicious political rants from a motley variety of radical groups. It's obviously alarming - is there an unstable extremist tracking the loved ones of powerful politicians with deadly intent? But when the FBI is called in, there isn't much the feds can do.

I am going to keep it But!
Revisado: 04-22-20
I have every book in the Davenport and Virgil Flowers Series and that is the only reason I am not returning this book. I think that Sandford is a gifted author and great talent, However, there were so many Political overtones in this book it kept pulling me out of the story. Also some some inaccuracies such as the villain being able to purchase fire arms from vendors at gun shows without a back ground check. I know that individuals can sell fire arms without a back ground check but a Vendor as described in this story would really be risking a lot to complete such a transaction did not strike me as accurate or a fair representation of the facts. I just felt it was a sneaky way to say that gun shows are bad. I am a little disappointed in this book but I will continue to purchase Mr. Sandford's work I just hope he does not go "all Stephen King" on us. I finally had to give up on Mr. King because of his political commentary

Gingrich has teamed with former Washington Post reporter and best-selling author Pete Earley to create a highly plausible mix of domestic and global action in this ripped-from-the-headlines thriller.

Overall I liked the book BUT
Revisado: 10-16-16
Where does Duplicity rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is ok but I have a ton of audio books in the hundreds if not over a thousand so where could you place it most likely bottom of the middle third.
What about Robert Fass’s performance did you like?
Narration was good
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No The Protagonist Marine Corps Captain was not very convincing. I hated that she had to argue with any one and every one that she came in contact with . Though supposedly the heroin of the story I kept hoping she would either mature as character or the author would write her out of the story.

They Are magazines not clips
Revisado: 05-30-15
What did you like best about The St. Paul Conspiracy? What did you like least?
Authors need to to do a little research Glocks and AK47 have magazines they do not have clips. Those kind of errors really distracted me from the story.
If you’ve listened to books by Roger Stelljes before, how does this one compare?
I have not
Which character – as performed by Johnny Peppers – was your favorite?
The Chief.
Do you think The St. Paul Conspiracy needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Has A Political Agenda
Revisado: 06-08-08
The story could have been ok however, the author must still be pissed about the the Gore Bush Election. All the villians come from the Bush Administration. The The Military are a bunch of incompetent thugs. The Hero's are from higer ed hookers and a autisic kid. The Political agenda made it hard finish. Even Rush Limbaugh got a little verbal jab. I regret wasting a credit.

Revisado: 12-18-07
This is a book about an ex Law enforcement officer that keeps his revolver in the glove box and the shells in the a fishing tackle box. I find this kind of mentality all through the book. Written with a liberal agenda good Indians protecting the environment bad white men exploting everything. Want Sheriff's and Indians Read Craig Johnson.
