BEST LISA GARDNER BOOK SO FAR!!
Revisado: 03-21-19
This is the best Lisa Gardner book I have listened too so far. I am a huge fan of her work. This book is hard to listen to at times but it is a spot on attest to the horrific crimes that occur against children around the world.
At first I did not like the female/male narrators but once I figured out what was going on, it brought the characters to life.
The narrator brings this book to life even more with her brilliant narration. There moments while listening I felt myself hold my breath because the narrator painted the scene so I was there in the moment.
Excellent listen!!

Brilliant but... predictable
Revisado: 02-28-19
The narrator is brilliant! Very easy to listen to. The story is good but it is predictable. I didn’t mind that it was predictable though because the narrator brought the characters to life. I felt all of the emotions of the characters. There was 1 thing that did bug me a little but enough to take a star away - there are inconsistencies in some scenes. But other than this another excellent Lisa Gardner book!

Hmm... the build up....
Revisado: 01-24-19
The build up was quite intriguing. I was totally in to it and was trying to figure out what was going on. Who was being honest... who was lying... then it just kind of isles out for me... I liked the book but I think it could have been a stronger ending.

Eh!
Revisado: 08-02-18
I didn’t hate this book. I loved the narrators voice but the story lacked. It was just kind of dry. It seemed like it was going to ramp up real quick. I was hopeful that it would take off but then it ended with 1 twist and it was not that unpredictable.

I really liked this book. It was not loaded with a ton of fluff. To the point, great story line that had me grimacing, and waiting for the final outcome.

In a Dark, Dark Wood
Revisado: 06-07-18
There was something I absolutely loved about this book. The main character is likable but at the same point annoying. At times the book did seem to stall but right when I was about to lose interest BAM the writer would reveal something that was crucial to figuring out what is happening and who is manipulating the situations. Overall, the narrator does a great job! I would recommend this book!

Historia
Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

My head is still reeling...
Revisado: 05-25-18
My head is still reeling over this book. Just when you think you've got it figure out, you don't. The story is dark so if you don't like that, this is not the book for you. It's suspenseful and kept me guessing right until the end and even now that the book is finished, I am still not certain I truly know what was what. It does flip flop a little bit which does make it confusing but the narrator does a beautiful job! I really liked the book.

Very Haunting
Revisado: 04-24-18
This book is very haunting but impeccably written!! It is dark and twisty (as I expected with a title like “Then She Was Gone”).
The plot wasn’t so thick that it could not be easily figured out but the way it was written was enough to keep me captivated and horrified until the end.
I really enjoyed this book!

I'm on the fence with this one...
Revisado: 03-18-18
I am on the fence with this book. The concept is good but I personally think there are too many twists that are not as climatic as they could be. The book seems to be winding towards something big but when the "twists" are revealed, they are revealed in a way that falls flat for me.

VERY HELPFUL

This book has the potential to change and enhance a marriage! Caution there are a few parts that are "religion" orientated but overall, focuses on experiments not biblical testimony.
