This whole series is a fave. Great overarching character and even community development that made me care about them all. Also, while at times tense, also hilarious too, which I really appreciated.

HEA with 3

Liked: edgy voiced sections able to communicate strong feelings, erotic scenes were told from main woman’s POV and were hot, the BDSM aspect of the story

Liked less: needed more character development for the 3 men she was in love with, it jumped past important events and gave a pat HEA that missed the opportunity to take their relationship deeper- which I think would have been an improvement, I also ran out of patience with her character being such a low esteem woman that disbelieved that she was lovable and then never getting the enjoyment of sharing her journey to feeling worthy.

Another great book centered in Bliss Colorado.
Both series in Bliss are dear friends to me at this point. Great writing that drew me in and kept me caring throughout. Friendship and passionate love abound!

I’ve listened to every single book in both lines centered Bliss Colorado. I’ve enjoyed every one of them. I even came back and listened to them second time.
I really enjoyed this one for its ongoing character development for the main people and the mini touchstones to the other people I got to know and care about in the previous books. It’s steamy in places. I actually cared about the main characters. Really can’t recommend this whole line of writing enough.

A profound tale of becoming

I’m just a regular person; yes American and female- not one to waste my time with trashy tabloids or even one to follow the British Royal story line. That said, for me this was a story of breaking free, told with honesty and very relatable in terms of family distortions.
I truly hope this man and his family remain safe here in the US where it is in our DNA what it means to break free.

Still amazing!

I have read this book at least twice and always loved it’s feminine perspective. I have gifted away at least 2copies of the book.
Now, having listened to it, as read excellently by Davina, I only love it more!
Morgane is a woman for the ages. Just another example of the demonization of the divine feminine when taken as presented in most accounts of the myth. Not here though! Here, she is human, fallible, brave, angry at times, and very wise at other times…just like most of us.
Written ahead of its time, told without flinching away from the difficult or mystical parts.

Intimate portrayal of Eleanor

Having read, listened, and watched many views of this period and family, I still thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. This is due to the author taking her off the pedestal and allowing her to be a human woman….so neither virgin nor whore- just someone trying to live her life as best she could…picking which fights to join in her very quarrelsome family.

What a woman!

The reader was quite evocative and added much to the experience. While many of the terms and names carried less meaning for me, as one with little exposure to this particular era and place, the thread of the story of a woman struggling to survive-and live as happily as she could- was never lost.
Neither the whore nor the virgin, but a woman of intelligence and loyalty, she now lives on -at least in my mind.
