Historia
In The End of the End of the Earth, which gathers essays and speeches written mostly in the past five years, Jonathan Franzen returns with renewed vigour to the themes - both human and literary - that have long preoccupied him. Whether exploring his complex relationship with his uncle, recounting his young adulthood in New York or offering an illuminating look at the global seabird crisis, these pieces contain all the wit and disabused realism that we’ve come to expect from Franzen....

Historia
In 1957, four years before his death, Carl Gustav Jung, psychiatrist and psychologist, began writing his life story. But what started as an exercise in autobiography soon morphed into an altogether more profound undertaking. The result is an absorbing piece of self-analysis: a frank statement of faith, philosophy, and principles from one of the great explorers of the human mind.

AI, Spanish history and thriller in a exciting mix
Revisado: 11-21-17
Dan Brown is for me the storyteller with excitement in focus. In this book, I also got important information about Spanish history as a bonus. And not to forget the age of AI coming upon us as a tsunami. Altogether a nice listening. Well performed.

Historia
The occasion was a big birthday. And it inspired two close friends to get together in Dharamsala for a talk about something very important to them. The friends were His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The subject was joy. Both winners of the Nobel Prize, both great spiritual masters and moral leaders of our time, they are also known for being among the most infectiously happy people on the planet.

Who needs a coach after reading The Book of Joy?
Revisado: 04-07-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I will recommed The Book of Joy to all my good friends because I want them all the best in their lifes. And within this book they will find the answers to a much better life. I will send my best friends a special invitation to listen to this book during eastern. The time for contemplation.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Book of Joy?
The most memorable moment in The Book of Joy was the gathering in Dalai Lama's private home sharing communion. Christians, Buddhists and Jews joined together breaking all the traditional "rules" whithin their religions. Even Dalai Lama breaking his rule by not tasting alcohol. Dipping his little finger in the wine and put it in his mouth:
"I am not going to get drunk" he remarked before joining the communion.
What does Douglas Carlton Abrams and full cast bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
It was just as I was listening to a conversation between Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. All put together by Douglas Carlton Abrams beautiful voice and very personal comments. Loved it!
What did you learn from The Book of Joy that you would use in your daily life?
The Book of Joy is a book with a recipy for a better life. With Joy. For me personally the importance of similarity among all people and how to focus on time as something who is coming to you. Not focus on the past or the future but live my life here and now.
Any additional comments?
The Book of Joy draws lines with the most altruistic personalities in modern times: Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and for sure the two persons participate in The Book of Joy. Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. The importance of being an altruistic person independent of religion and religious dogma is the most important message to everyone listening to this book.

Based on the newly released personal letters of Albert Einstein, Walter Isaacson explores how an imaginative, impertinent patent clerk became the mind reader of the creator of the cosmos.
