Great Combination

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of both author and narrator of this series, it took some time to get used to the voices but since they have become like family to me. The only disappointment of this story is that it ended. The heroine seems like a spoiled brat, but grows in your heart and in the end you are rooting for her. I have listened to this book at least a dozen times, it never gets old.

I had forgotten how dark this author could be until this book. It was not what I was used to after coming away from other historical romances. But I found that I had to know how it ended and if the hero could quit being such a hot headed ass. I found the performance a little dry and lacking in the touches of humor from the brothers, which at times made it hard to follow the story.

What made the experience of listening to Love Only Once the most enjoyable?
Listening, it was hard to get used to the voices but they grew on me and I love them. I couldn't stop listening.
Who was your favorite character and why?
This is a hard question, but probably Regina Ashton, Although I love James, Anthony, Connie and Nicolas too.
Which character – as performed by Laural Merlington – was your favorite?
OMG that is so hard to say, probably James then Tony, then the female voices.

Love the story, love the narrator, a keeper that I read and listen to often.

Would you consider the audio edition of Gentle Rogue to be better than the print version?
Yes, Listening to Laurel and the different voices is very entertaining. I have gotten so used to her it makes me feel at home.
What other book might you compare Gentle Rogue to and why?
I can't think of any book that has the humor and intrigue as this book. I really enjoyed this whole series, while they are making Netflix movies this series would be amazing.
Have you listened to any of Laural Merlington’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
One of my favorite, however I love her in all of this series, actually I am going to look for more books with her narrating them.
