Historia
From internationally best-selling author Katrine Engberg, the series that is a “gripping addition to the Scandinavian crime fiction pantheon” (Oprah Daily) comes to a stunning conclusion as Jeppe Kørner and Anette Werner rush to untangle a long-simmering mystery before a brutal killer strikes again.

Too many things that would never happen in real life. This was a disappointing follow up book with a far-fetched ending.

Not the best in the series
Revisado: 09-23-22
I have listened to every book in the series and enjoy all of them, however, this one was difficult to listen to at times. Listening to the audio version of all of the social media posts was excruciating and took up such a large portion of the book. The book could probably be half as long and still tell the same story.

Historia
“Homecoming” takes us back to Ford County, the fictional setting of many of John Grisham’s unforgettable stories. Jake Brigance is back, but he’s not in the courtroom. He’s called upon to help an old friend, Mack Stafford, a former lawyer in Clanton, who three years earlier became a local legend when he stole money from his clients, divorced his wife, filed for bankruptcy, and left his family in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again—until now. Now Mack is back, and he’s leaning on his old pals, Jake and Harry Rex, to help him return. His homecoming does not go as planned.

Grisham’s Scraps
Revisado: 06-27-22
Very disappointed by this “book”. It is a collection of a few chapters from three different ideas that never became novels. Each of the three stories just kind of stopped with no real conclusion of any kind.
Jeff Daniels should stick to acting and Ethan Hawk wasn’t much better as a narrator.
Michael Beck should be the narrator anytime the story takes place in Clanton.

Shoeless Joe, the soul-stirring novel on which the movie Field of Dreams is based, is more than just another baseball story. Kinsella captures the spiritual dimension that baseball represents for its most determined devotees in this tale of love and the power of dreams to make people come alive.

Stick to the movie, don’t waste time on the book
Revisado: 05-25-22
I think for the first time in my experience, the movie is much better than the book.
The narrator was hard to listen to. Several of the scenes in this book seemed out of order and unnecessary.
I would not recommend this book to anyone. I would tell people to watch the movie instead.
There are a couple of scenes and characters that are in the book that are not in the movie, but they take away from the book and don’t provide anything useful.

Historia
From his humble beginnings in St. Joseph, Missouri, Bill Snyder rose to greatness, bringing K-State up from the ashes to a number one ranking, six 11-win seasons in a span of seven years, and one Big 12 Championship. He still wasn’t finished. After a three-year retirement, Snyder returned to lead the Wildcats to another Big 12 title. In 2015, he became just the fourth person in college football history to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as an active coach. In this new memoir, Snyder reflects on a successful yet complicated life

Difficult to finish
Revisado: 04-19-22
I would only suggest this book to Kansas State fans that want a VERY thorough recount of the scores and statistics of the football program at Kansas State under Bill Snyder.
There are a few good points that coaches or leaders would benefit from, but they could have been covered in about an hour.
The narrator is terrible and makes the book drag on and on. I had to listen at 1.5-2x speed, which was an improvement over his normal slow and annoying voice.

Good overview of Coach Cowher’s life
Revisado: 06-15-21
As a Steeler fan I enjoyed learning a little bit more about the coach and his career, but the book does not go into much detail. I would have liked for there to be more about leadership and coaching methods rather than just brief summaries of the seasons.

Grisham's best work in years!
Revisado: 12-17-20
This book reminds you of why you started listening to John Grisham books in the beginning. I suffered through some of his books a few times that were difficult to finish. This one was great! I love the narrator and that the book is set in Ford County with all of the characters that we have come to know.

Winslow’s scraps from other books
Revisado: 06-02-20
I usually really like Don Winslow’s books and Ray Porter is one of the best narrator’s. This is a collection of stories from different books that don’t make any sense. They were probably ideas that didn’t make the final edit for Winslow’s other books. Some of the narrator’s are terrible.

Historia
Jack Wade, a claims adjuster for California Fire and Life Mutual Insurance Company, is one of the best arson investigators around. He's a man who knows fire, who can read the traces it leaves behind like a roadmap. When he's called in to examine an unusual claim, the tracks of the fire tell him that something's wrong. So wrong that he violates his own cardinal rule - "You don't get personal, you don't get emotional. Whatever you do, you don't get involved" - and plunges into the case.
