Historia
When friends encouraged Jenae to join their adventure to Hawaii, the twenty-six year old celebrated the chance to mingle with new eligible men on her quest for love. Paradise found her paddling against strong currents for a fresh start and a chance to revamp her heart, mind, and body. Jenae was not prepared for a trifecta of bad luck that sunk her to rock bottom. Rigorous training for an island triathlon gave her physical and mental toughness that pulled her out of the darkest of caves. She rode the wave of confidence to command attention and passionate love that she craved.

Fun Read!
Revisado: 01-17-25
The story packed a lot into the lives of a group of young nurses. Romance, intrigue, international and cross-cultural experiences, and a lot more. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of the “all in”approach to life in Hawaii: snorkeling, scuba-diving, surfing, swimming, biking and working in paradise.
I’m looking forward to following the characters in the sequel!

Reine-Marie watches with increasing unease as her husband refuses to pick up, though he clearly knows who is on the other end. When he finally answers, his rage shatters the calm of their quiet Sunday morning.

Historia
Vividly written and exhaustively researched, Jonathan Eig’s King: A Life is the first major biography in decades of the civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr.—and the first to include recently declassified FBI files. In this revelatory new portrait of the preacher and activist who shook the world, the bestselling biographer gives us an intimate view of the courageous and often emotionally troubled human being who demanded peaceful protest for his movement but was rarely at peace with himself.

Historia
The year is 1933. Maisie Dobbs is contacted by an Indian gentleman who has come to England in the hopes of finding out who killed his sister two months ago. Scotland Yard failed to make any arrest in the case, and there is reason to believe they failed to conduct a thorough investigation. The case becomes even more challenging when another Indian woman is murdered just hours before a scheduled interview. Meanwhile, unfinished business from a previous case becomes a distraction, as does a new development in Maisie's personal life.
