Mistaken title.

I feel like the Title should be Phil's musings or Phil's female troubles. I only made it 5 chapters in and it has more of Phil's point of view by far than the MC. Just my opinion on 5 chapters.

First, I love this book. Second, why just she seem to get dumber every book. Third, I lost a lot of respect for Frannie in this book. I can't say much about that because it is a huge spoiler. Lastly she has enough points to build a fortress and she is still only slightly above end of book 1 potential. That being said this was my favorite one of the four so far.

Good story...

I do like the story overall and the main character however, the more times I listen to this book the more I think the MC should come back when she's strong enough and annihilate her family. They treat her like dirt and are pathological liars 90 percent of the time. They say things like we will help you if you having trouble and after a week of said trouble their advice is to keep at it and you'll eventually figure it out.

Still in the beginning.

For a book with supposedly no romance based on a prior review she seems awfully blush worthy for a 14 year old who left home because of gross men being around.

Too much attachment...

At one point she gets ready to take a shower, whe doing so she thinks of two boys, one of which she just met a day ago and is sleeping on her floor. Why don't they just share the bed? Be the quickest relationship you can get as the second boy isn't going anywhere.

It was a good book overall. Why oh why did they make her nearly useless as soon as her parents entered the picture. She is the MC and as soon as her parent showed up her achievements among other things were for lack of better terminology she became nothing more than a character you forget about after the MC leaves the area.

What is wrong with the MC?

I understand she is in a new world but are we sure she is a college graduate therapist. Her smarts and awareness are middle school level at best. Also as a prior therapist how can she not read human behavior at all. It seems like human behavior is a complete mystery to her. I lost respect for her as the book went on. She has the Drive to improve herself of a gamer kid in the basement for years. All of her milestones are useless in except for once when it comes to dire times. I don't care she's not overpowered. but even with certain boosts she is useless. I'm not trying to spoil anything but I'm not sure I'm going to read the second book out of lack of respect for the MC.

Story was good but...

Sone of the skills seem to make you a slave to the system which I didn't like. Also, she should just take all the Men interested in her to bed because that is all she seems to think about. She would never leave and the story wouldn't matter anymore.

Hypocrite.

This is strictly an opinion. We first meet Clemenetine as a slowly losing hope, broke, and still doing what little she can for others in the community, even usin her meager savings to assist. Evan fox enters the picture and Clementin tell her she cares about the community and later on through actions and words says she wants to leave and not come back because there is nothing here for her. I think that she would do everything in her power to stop Evan from succeeding in her Dreams just to prove herself right. I would just leave her in her hole that she is so desperate to stay in. Self Sabotage and Hypocrisy.

I didn't realize that I would be listening about someone who was a cheating homewrecker. Her personal code of ethics is trash. She might have been slightly more endearing if she showed remorse for screwing up 4 different lives.
