Historia
Seven years ago, carefree college student Flora Dane was kidnapped while on spring break. For 472 days, Flora learned just how much one person can endure. Miraculously alive after her ordeal, Flora has spent the past five years reacquainting herself with the rhythms of normal life, working with her FBI victim advocate, Samuel Keynes. She has a mother who’s never stopped loving her, a brother who is scared of the person she’s become, and a bedroom wall covered with photos of other girls who’ve never made it home.

10 out of 10!
Revisado: 03-13-25
This is my FAVORITE book of this series so far. The plot, the getting two points of view and the stable twists and turns along the way.

Historia
In Lisa Gardner's second short story, after the New York Times bestseller The 7th Month, Detective D.D. Warren takes on her most intimidating assignment yet: a fifty-minute class meant to educate a horde of bloodthirsty thriller writers on the ways of actual police work. Yet sometimes life really does imitate fiction, as D.D. takes the writers through the reality of one of her most twisted cases - a case that involves a seedy motel room, drugs, prostitution...and a severed leg.

Good story but was it worth $8?
Revisado: 03-05-25
Not worth the price tag to someone on a budget but it is a very well written short story. Definitely enjoyable and keeps you guessing but just too short to be worth the money especially since half the time is reading the first two chapters of the next book. Just spend your money on the next book. You won’t miss it as part of the series goes.

Historia
The last thing Boston Detective D. D. Warren remembers is walking the crime scene after dark. Then, a creaking floorboard, a low voice crooning in her ear… She is later told she managed to discharge her weapon three times. All she knows is that she is seriously injured, unable to move her left arm, unable to return to work. My sister is Shana Day, a notorious murderer who first killed at fourteen. Incarcerated for thirty years, she has now murdered more people while in prison than she did as a free woman.

A little different than Lisa’s usual
Revisado: 03-05-25
This book was a little bit different than her others, Not bad at all still with a plot twist. I typically binge these novels in a matter of days and this one was just a litter slower. Took me weeks to really get in to. I also found myself arguing with the obvious because I was expecting another grand twist in true Lisa fashion. Per usual though you never know who the killers is until those final chapters of reveal.

This book geared more towards helping novice dog owners with basic has amazing reminders and tips for even experienced dog owners. The open minded approach of finding what works best for your dog is rare to find among dog trainers since most believer their way is the best way. This book takes away the pressure from sticking to just one method and helps you get to know your dog on a deeper level for the more success in your training adventures.
It’s also read beautifully like getting dog training advice from a friend.

Historia
In Lisa Gardner’s first-ever short story following 13 best-selling novels, "The 7th Month" takes listeners between the books and into a day in the life of Boston Detective D. D. Warren.
In her seventh month of pregnancy, D.D. should be taking it easy. Instead, she accepts a small consulting role on the set of a serial-killer film shooting in Boston. D.D. figures she’ll be useful to someone for at least one night, serving as a police expert and making a little extra money in the bargain. It seems like a simple task—until the previous film consultant, a former Boston cop, is found beaten to death.

Revisado: 01-13-25
This short story wasn’t entirely worth the audible credit but I want to listen to the whole series and I would have missed the birth story without this mini book.
It was read beautifully though.

Historia
One question, a split-second decision, and Brian Darby lies dead on the kitchen floor. His wife, state police trooper Tessa Leoni, claims to have shot him in self-defense, and bears the bruises to back up her tale. For veteran detective D. D. Warren it should be an open-and-shut case. But where is their six-year-old daughter?

Goosebumps
Revisado: 12-17-24
Another amazing book in this series. So many twists and turns that you never see coming. It was written with a different structure than the others but still impossible to guess all the connections until Gardner connects all the dots for you. I definitely binged this one in two days and dying to start the next.

Favorite in the series so far!
Revisado: 12-15-24
This book had me staying up way past bedtime to finish listening. It had me tearing up at parts both in happiness and sadness while feeling every emotion across the board. I usually can’t guess who the “bad guy” is but this time I was able to, not easily though. I constantly second guessed my choice and it only made it so much better that I was right. I must be learning a thing or two from these books about identifying the subject. On to the next book!
