The main theme of the book is to be very independent. For example, if you have a yoga class planned and your boyfriend asks you out last minute for that time, tell him that you already planned to go to the yoga class. The author says you need to have your own life. If you really want to go out with him and you have nothing planned, then the author would say it's fine. He shares a lot of additional advice.

The author provides a lot of great advice. His advice is based on surveys. He cites statistics of how affluent buyers feel about different advertisement campaigns, industries, and sales behaviors. This book focuses on best sales practices post the 2008 financial crisis.

Unique book, some good advice

Some of the advice in this book is really good. For example, the author suggests being upfront with the man you're dating about what type of a relationship you want. The author suggests to ask the man if he wants the same thing as you. So you can assess if you have the same goals.

One thing I didn't like about the book is that it implies that some "tongue lashing" is good sometimes. I guess the author means that if what you say is a healthy complaint, that's a good thing sometimes because then you can introduce a positive change. You can tell your boyfriend what he can do to make you happy.

Everything else in the book is clear and sounds like good advice. The author explains how to get a player to be interested in you over the long term. I like that the author gives very specific advice.

The audio book gives great general advice on how to have a great marriage. Gary Smalley speaks I a way that is easy to understand.

The tone of the book is positive and inspirational. I liked that there was some concrete advice on what to do to have a good marriage. I learned that it might be best to build a friendship first and get married before having sex for the first time. I wish there was more of concrete advice.

Great advice for people who want to have successful and happy relationships! I learned how to be a better wife. For example, I learned that I need to avoid criticizing and instead praise my partner every day, if he has a need for affection. The book teaches what things they need to do to have a happy relationship.
