The authors tried to outdo each other with their silly dramatics, e.g., why was the stroke victim introduced to the story?

It could have been an exciting story if the editors had reduced the number of words by, at least, twenty-five percent.
The issue of an outbreak of a deadly virus in the end proved to be a non-factor.
What I learned from this novel, primarily, was that the author wanted the reader to know how much he researched his story. He should have done additional research on how to tell a story.

This audio book is silly. The sound effects are nothing but a distraction...this could by design to distract from the lack of substance of the book. The narrator obviously should be in a different line of work - uneven delivery, mispronunciations, with a voice which drives listeners to flee. This book sets the lowest limit for audio books. It caused me to wonder how such a book could get published and why Bacchus Press, Ltd. would do so.

Team 52 comes across as a bunch of amateurs focused mainly on their personal lives over the mission. Gratuitous sex scenes distract from the story, which is an "Indiana Jones" copy - obviously an attempt to create interest in a boring story but without success.

This is a book promoting the author. It is read by the author - rather amateurishly with mispronounced words.

I did not finish.

If you are a gun control advocate you'll love this book. It takes strong stands against guns, lawyers, and capitalism. It believes government makes laws to protect big business to the detriment of the little guys. It's totally one sided, but if you're on that side it's for you.

Reader is an amateur. I tried to continue but I could only endure 2 1/2 chapters. So I removed it from my device and tried another book.

Book got off to an interesting and very enjoyable start but, unfortunately, turned stupid in the end. The ending was dumb and embarrassing.

Would you ever listen to anything by Steve Berry again?

No

Would you be willing to try another one of Scott Brick’s performances?

No

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Can't think of any

Any additional comments?

The story was contrived. There were superfluous characters including a mountain lion. There is no reason to read this book as was obviously written only to showcase the Smithsonian. It was a waste of time.

What disappointed you about The Third Target?

The author's effort to give insight into the characters' thinking was superficial and, in many ways, illogical.
The plot was not believable and the "exciting" scenes were poorly described and, thus, disappointing.
The ending was ridiculous.

What could Joel C. Rosenberg have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Made it more believable. Explained to me know more about the Isis beliefs and the struggles in the middle east.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator did a good job with a weak product.

What character would you cut from The Third Target?

Matt Collins and his family were only included to proselytize Christianity. It was, totally unnecessary and I got the impression the author was writing an affirmation of Christianity over other religions - Muslim, Judaism, etc.
