Historia
Not too long ago, Max Best was stuck in a dead-end job, trudging from one day to the next and mourning the fact that his burning love of soccer was getting buried in a landslide of cold statistics and intangible tactics. Then, after saving an old man from a mugging, he was "cursed" with the ability to instantly ascertain a soccer player's attributes on sight and use that knowledge to upgrade his own skills. Now he's making a name for himself as an amateur team manager, but it's not enough for him to ditch his dud of a job.

Narrator is a legend
Revisado: 02-11-24
I love when a narrator can really add life to the text instead of just reading the words. I really loved experiencing the real emotions, the pauses, the humor , all the tonal inflections that brought this audiobook to a special place.

Historia
Unlikely hero Victor discovers the realm of Fanwath is even deadlier beneath the surface in the rollicking sequel to action-adventure fantasy Pit Fighter. Suddenly transported to the land of Fanwath, Victor had a hard time adapting to a reality controlled by an omniscient “System” that rewarded strength, skill, and savagery with increased “Energy,” which was necessary if one wished to continue breathing.

Believable, Action Packed, Hooked!
Revisado: 12-07-23
Believable writing , no eye rolls from me ;)
Constant tension and rewarding progression. Great plot line potential, wraps up some loose ends from the previous book and opens more for future books to explore.
I don’t like action just for action sake, like 30 minutes of exposition on dungeon exploring (lame!) once past that the action is paired with plot in new novel ways that don’t seem boring or overdone.
Love the story and writing so far Plum Parrot <3

Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

One word: Overwritten
Revisado: 11-12-23
Like others have said before this follow up is a big disappointment, it saddens me to write this considering how much I fell in love with the first book (I’ve listened to Iron Prince more than once which speaks to how much I enjoyed it)
It felt like 80-85 percent of this was a slog where I could only listen at 2.5x speed. There were times where I even skipped ahead a minute or two in the unbearable cringe.
I seriously needed to steel myself for the pain ahead most of the times I picked up the book as if my body knew I was about to take a beating and torture. I swear I’m not being melodramatic lol.
I made myself listen to this just on the merit of the first book alone.
I will say that there were moments that made me hyped and emotional and joyed but it was FEW and far between.
Im sorry but this felt like a second or third draft that needed major editing and rewrites.
I do appreciate all of the hard work and I’m sure countless hours that were spent writing this - this is just my honest experience and feedback. Wish you the best and I hope you can take some possibly harsh critique in your endeavor to becoming an all time great author.

Historia
In the year 2107, the world has both made astounding leaps forward and reduced humanity to its most basic existence. While the megacorps and those who rule them enjoy lives of extraordinary comfort and ease, most people barely scrape by, doing whatever they can to keep going. Juliet Bianchi is one of the latter. She works cutting metal in a scrapyard and doesn't have much to show for it except for a small group of equally bereft, fiercely loyal friends. Still, she maintains a bright disposition, possessing more hope and optimism than anyone would expect her to—and she's going to need it.

He’s carved a home out in the wilderness, and met its inhabitants, killing some and making friends with others. Things are looking downright cozy—in a bushcraft kind of way—but there’s a village to the east with tools, resources, and new magic to learn. That’s all incredibly tempting when living among the wild things. Where there are people though, there are complications, including the murder-y kind.

Really enjoying the series. I smile every time I hear a reference or what I believe is inspiration from Name of the Wind by Rothfuss. (I say unto thee three times… hand signing language… etc ;))
Such a fun and tasty extension of the first book. Loved how extra lengthy it was. Thank you for the obvious effort and attention to detail in crafting this adventure Samer Rabadi.
Narration was great as well <3

Revisado: 05-25-23
Author does a great job building this next stage of world building within this fun universe. Knowing that Zack will find a way to escape an impossible situation in a fun new world through patience and luck and a bit of fate kept me coming back for more. Loved that a certain female with flame 🔥 affinity was brought back - I was curious thinking about how she fit into the narrative as she was introduced many books ago without a second thought or call back. Love the new boss fights / duels and new powerhouses that come into Zacks path. Definitely get this of you have already listened to the previous audios ;)

slow burn until maximum interest
Revisado: 02-19-22
the author does a great job starting the story with a slow build up in growing the character and his place in the new world.
he starts off on an island which feels the same for the story. the first part of the story is almost all fighting non stop adrenaline filled fight or flight with almost no room to breathe.
later on the story opens up and you feel the author start to slowly ease up on the metaphorical gas. you finally get a chance to take in the scenery and enjoy the new world and partake of the fruit of your labor.
