Historia
Travel to other planets is now a reality, and with overpopulation stretching the resources of Earth, the necessity of finding habitable worlds is growing ever more urgent. There’s a problem though—because the spaceships are slower than light, any communication between the exploring ships and Earth would take years.
Tom and Pat are identical twin teenagers. As twins they’ve always been close, so close that it seemed like they could read each other’s minds.

Historia
Leo Graf was just your average highly efficient engineer: mind your own business, fix what's wrong, and move on to the next job. But all that changed on his assignment to the Cay Habitat, where a group of humanoids had been secretly, commercially bioengineered for working in free fall. Could he just stand there and allow the exploitation of hundreds of helpless children merely to enhance the bottom line of a heartless mega-corporation?

Historia
Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.

Obviously not Kipling, or even Ringo. Still a nice little (inprobable) story, with a charming protagonist, and a happy (though predictable) ending.

Historia
With human civilization annihilated by a biological zombie plague, a ragtag fleet of yachts and freighters known as Wolf Squadron scours the Atlantic, searching for survivors. Within every abandoned liner and carrier lurks a potential horde, safety can never be taken for granted, and death and turning into one of the enemy is only a moment away. Yet every ship and town holds the flickering hope of survivors. One and two from lifeboats, a dozen from a fishing village, a few hundred wrenched by fury and fire from a ship that once housed thousands....

Historia
Reacher is hitching through the heat of West Texas and getting desperate for a ride. The last thing he's worried about is exactly who picks him up.
She's called Carmen. She's a good-looking young woman, she has a beautiful little girl...and she has married into the wrong family. They're called the Greers. They're a bitter and miserly clan, and they've made her life a living hell. Worse, her monster of a husband is soon due out of prison. So she needs protection, and she needs it now.
Lawyers can't help. Cops can't be trusted. So Reacher goes home with her to the lonely ranch where nothing is as it seems, and where evil swirls around them like dust in a storm. Within days, Carmen's husband is dead - and simmering secrets send Echo, Texas, up in flames.

The Worst Jack Reacher Ever!
- De S. Craig en 05-06-09
Reacher, my escapist hero! a great time out
Revisado: 01-02-12
Where does Echo Burning rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The reacher series always provides an easy interesting read. not earth shatteringly great but always entertaining
What did you like best about this story?
I prefer single protaganist stories, with values similar to my own. Reacher is a man of few words and deep thoughts. This particular story features several plot twists I found unexpected, but they greatly improved the story
What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr Hill brings inflections and pacing that occasionally inspires an understanding of the characters I might have missed out on had I been reading this book
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Reacher, the man you need on YOUR side
Any additional comments?
I can heartilly recomend this story (or any Reacher novel) to those bibliophiles looking for a good escape from the daily grind
