Dunno. Her performance was fine, but couldn't save the book.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Boredom. The situation was belieable enough, but too many details weren't. Also, the book was like a twinkie...all empty calories. It was way too romantic in both the common and literary senses of the word.

Stay away unless you like fluffy, romantic tripe.

Where does The Silver Linings Playbook rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among the best. It combines a good story with a good narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how he made it clear that the "sane" people were all crazy in their own ways.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were a few laugh out loud moments, but the whole book was strong.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I listened to it over two days on a road trip.

As usual, Scott Brick butchers the book. Way too melodramatic. He should be acting in a soap opera.

The narrator should never be allowed to do American accents. In fact, he wasn't able to differentiate the English characters very well either.

The book is fine, but skip the audiobook on this one. The bad narrator spoils it.

Behind the painful details is a lot of depth. It seems to me another study in the Buddhist concept of "no-self"
