Why is there always , one. That "one ", who sees happiness brought to everyone else must be ruined. Here comes Sarah from Chicago ( I'm embarrassed to admit it's my hometown too) who is going to take a series of " fiction" books and question why readers love them so much when they aren't "gospel". Well, news flash Sarah, fiction means "fake", "not gospel", "made up". In never ever land ANYTHING can happen. Do you honestly believe those of us listening to this story we're searching the good book, the Bible for a book called "the rising " where it spoke of this anti-Christ brat growing up? Get real girl and know this... some of us had very fun childhoods. We were taught about Jesus and Mary and Joseph. They were truth. We were also told about Santa Claus this was not truth and most of us were very upset to hear it was fake. But we got it. We were taught Truth from Fiction. That all said This was by far one of the BEST books to give the reader or listener a fill in for all those questions about how when and why to a 12 book series of those who will be left behind in the rapture Now for the million dollar question Sarah, do you believe the "rapture" is truth?

Pay a Narrator! !

This book was not what I was expecting at all. I read the summary before I purchased it and thought it sounded great but right off the bat I can say I loathed the narrators feminine voice. Such a masculine story with all the men in it why, why would the author choose to read it himself? I purchased the first three books but if he is reading them all I will be asking for a refund.

I have never disliked a book as much as I disliked this one. I also purchased it because of "girl on a train". This one doesn't come close. First , character I absolutely despised was LEENA. I hated everything about this character , her tough girl ,loud mouth ,truck driver mouth. The story has about 12 characters and if that's not enough to cause confusion add to the fact that each chapter they announce which character that chapter will be about. I had to go back and forth every 6 or 7 chapters because it was impossible to get any kind of flow. Lastly I can't stand English accents and this one had 5 narrators UGH!!

There was nothing I disliked about this book. I purchased it long ago and was bored with the first two paragraphs. " Stephen King did not write this", I thought to myself. It isn't your typical King novel . It's nothing like The Shining, Cujo, or It. Totally different, and I loved it. Will Patton did a remarkable job with all the different voices. There are many and no two sounded the same making it very easy to know the characters. My favorite characters ? Jerome and Holly but his character I loved to hate was Brady . Many times I shook my head or even grunted out loud at the complete sicko, psycho head case. One drastic turn after the other never allowed me to feel I knew what was coming next. I'm going to do a search now to see if there was ever a sequel made because that last line has me wondering. Curious and curiouser. Yes, I would definitely recommend this one

I bought this after reading 14 by Cline because so many reviews said it would make more sense . I did and it did but there were so many annoyances I wished I would have not wasted time listening to it. A few things I truly hated in the book without giving anything away was 1. The damn ants (nuff said, read it you'll understand and 2. The use of the" F "word by the character Sasha ( this is truly the only word she says in every chapter but the last ) It does help if you read 14 first but honestly I would say read "14 "and skip the "Fold "

WOW just WOW !!!

This was by far the BEST listen I have had in awhile. I choose it specifically by the reviews it got (people raved about it) but then just as I was ready to hit "purchase" I started reading some of the negative reviews and thought "uh oh , what to do?" I took a chance and boy am I glad I did. First off it was by far the most original story I ever read. I could not guess what would be happening next. So suspenseful. Secondly, it was humorous too! How he managed to go from heart stopping to double over laughing was a feat also. Last but certainly not least was Mr Porters narration. The guy had a spot on accent for each character. How he was able to transition from one to the other blew my mind. All I can say is " try it you'll love it". As for me, I'm on to the next Peter Clines book , The Fold" and from the reviews I just read I'm glad I read " 14 " first. As for me , I just found myself a new favorite author . Keep up the good work Peter :)

I may be one of the few who don't care for this narrator and he seems to narrate all the books I like. This was a great story and I loved how the chapters let you know exactly where each setting was headed

Where does Ichabod rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely one of his bests but am I the only one who is sick of Kevin Pierce narrating? Everywhere I turn he is reading . Time to get someone else

Loved Danny and Steven but can't stand Annalisa. I was hoping they would hang her like a Christmas ham
