Enjoyable Christian Mystery
Revisado: 02-17-25
Nice, easy, read that I found myself coming back to even though I had other books I had started first. I did find it hard to keep up with all the names that were introduced throughout the book, which were quite a few. I enjoyed the characters, and look forward to more books in this series with this family. The narration was very good and his voice seemed perfect for this book. My only complaint would be the overuse of statements sounding like a question - with the voice rising at the end. Perfectly fine in some cases, but used overmuch in this production. Overall, a good, clean book. No foul language, modest relationships.

The story, the characters, the narration - all was creatively wonderful. I would have preferred a different ending, but I suppose the ending was perfect for this story. The narration of this book was superb, probably the best I’ve ever heard. This was excellent entertainment, and I’m missing the characters already.

Not what I was expecting in a Deanne Gist book
Revisado: 10-19-23
I almost didn’t finish, but I muddled through for some reason. The narration turned me off from the very start. I considered buying the book and reading it myself, but I’m glad that I didn’t because the story would not have held me. I enjoy long books, feeling fully immersed in the stories, getting to know the characters. This book, however, was just slow. Again, the narration has a lot to do with it, I think. Glad I didn’t spend any credits on this one. Won’t stop me from getting another book from this author. I have read others of hers that I just love!

I’ve listened to this story twice now, and I enjoyed it the second time around as much as the first. Ms. Byler has a way with words, descriptive and knowing. The characters are relatable, and pleasure to know. I appreciate a good, clean story, and this one does not disappoint. The narration was impeccable, perfectly suited. Excellent entertainment!
