This story overall has potential but was really immature. If you like your sex scene to last the whole chapter then this book is for you. Personally I prefer the action to be the primary plot point and the romance to be more realistic.

Great introduction to Meditation

This was a great introduction to meditation and Buddhism. I could really relate to Dan's feeling and skepticism relating to the metaphysical blissed out forms.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
I listened to this recording a few months ago and absolutely hated the characters. They sounded arrogant, pompous and self centered. My husband just listened to the book with a different narrator and had a completely different experience. I'm going to find the next book with a different narrator and see if that helps my opinion of the characters.
How could the performance have been better?
The narration makes the main characters sound arrogant.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Probably not, it was a good story but I don't think it would translate to the big screen very well.

why would you change the narrator!!!

I like the way John Glover has narrated other books but this one just doesn't do it for me. He did a decent job for his first reading but it doesn't have the same feel. I really glad I will have the time over August to read the book in print, this will be the first book I haven't listened to. =( Hopefully this will just be a one book thing (fingers crossed).
