Why just why
Revisado: 04-21-23
I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for this book. And I was so happy thinking Brooklyn and Matt were finally getting their happy ending. But now being left with this damn cliffhanger. I’m irritated, how long are we going to have to wait for the next one . I feel like it’s being dragged out now . There’s still so many more books left of IVY SMOAKS to read but I can’t move forward when this story is never ending .

I intended to keep my promises to you. I swear. I loved you, Matthew Caldwell—with my whole heart. I think a piece of me will always love you. But it all came crashing down when I realized you didn’t keep your promises to me. I refuse to take any of my days for granted. I learned that the hard way. So I’m sorry. But I can’t keep my promises to someone who didn’t keep theirs. XOXO, Brooklyn Sanders

So sad
Revisado: 01-25-23
This was the saddest book so far from Ivy Smoak . I sat here in actual tears at the end when the car blew up . And my anxiety was so high listening to it before hand because I knew something was going to happen , I could feel it . I hate that ending for Miller . He was wonderful and deserved so much more . My heart is broken for him and Jacob having to watch his father die like that . I was also so irritated with Brooklyn when she made Miller wait for so long to finally want to marry him . When she claimed she knew she was in love with him back in the beach house . Smh . I NEED to know who killed Miller and why since Isabella is dead . Did her father really find her and do it or was it Poppy

Matthew Caldwell is NYC's most eligible bachelor. Charming. Gorgeous. Wealthy. Great with kids. Broken. Sixteen years ago, he lost everything. He made a vow to never love again. But suddenly everyone in his life is acting like a matchmaker. He can't help but wonder if a broken vow is better than a broken heart. There's just one problem. Only one woman in the city has caught his attention. And it's the only woman he can't have.

Messy messy
Revisado: 01-11-23
This series gets more and more complicated and honestly stresses me out . This book so far takes the cake . First and foremost , I don’t like the whole Matt & Kennedy situation. It was definitely excessive for Matt to wait SO long to finally move on so I’m happy that he decided to . But literally it could’ve been with ANYONE, why did it have to be her . I understand it was 16 years ago but at the end of the day they were still bestfriends and you claimed to be soooo in love with Brooklyn. Personally don’t think that should’ve even been a thought , let alone for it to happen in a week or 2 at that . Also the whole thing with Poppy is so damn annoying , ur really doing the same things you did in high school for what . You could’ve talked to the father and figured everything out . I’m just so stressed out from these books . I hate say say I love them ugh . Don’t get me started on how weird Tanner and Nigel are too , I’m trying to figure out when they even met because I don’t remember hearing about Tanner in any high school or college stories . He just showed up . Brooklyn showing up at the end is really driving me crazy too because Matt is literally on his way to obviously propose to Kennedy . What is even going on anymore .

Historia
My mom fell in love with a monster. I know he’s dangerous. And I know my mom never wanted him in my life. I don’t want him in mine, either. But I’m being forced to live with him. I’m stuck in his haunting apartment in a world where I don’t belong. A world full of beautiful people with ugly souls. A world filled with secrets. And the one person I thought I could rely on was Matt. But he says my new family is a disease. Does that make me toxic, too? Is that why Matt wants to keep me his dirty little secret?

A bit confused
Revisado: 01-03-23
I really enjoy these stories and how they’re all connected. But I’m confused about the empire high series itself . I like reading about the group as teens but this isn’t really “Matt’s” story . It’s all Brooklyns . All the other guys stories we heard from both sides . Here we only hear from Brooklyn and really nothing is about Matt. I like this series on its own , just don’t really think it connects to the previous books too well , especially with all these crazy events happening.
