Historia
Tim Kennedy has a problem; he only feels alive right before he’s about to die. Kennedy, a Green Beret, decorated Army sniper, and UFC headliner, has tackled a bull with his bare hands, jumped out of airplanes, dove to the depths of the ocean, and traveled the world hunting poachers, human traffickers, and the Taliban. But he’s also the same man who got kicked out of the police department, fire department, and as an EMT, before getting two women pregnant four days apart, and finally, been beaten up by his Special Forces colleagues.

Full of things we may know but have not articulated to ourselves, Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart is a gentle and generous alternative to the trial-and-error learning that makes wisdom such an expensive commodity. For everyone who feels a sense of urgency that the clock ticks and still we aren't the person we'd like to be, it offers solace, guidance, and hope.

What a waste of time!
Revisado: 03-10-22
This was completely disappointing. I got this book because it was highly recommended (thanks a lot for a bad recommendation). Nothing uplifting in this book. Just one depressing "insight" after the next. I don't feel like I can return this book since I listened to the end hoping it would get better but to no avail! I wish I had never purchased this!

Historia
In In Order to Live, Yeonmi Park shines a light not just into the darkest corners of life in North Korea, describing the deprivation and deception she endured and which millions of North Korean people continue to endure to this day, but also onto her own most painful and difficult memories. She tells with bravery and dignity for the first time the story of how she and her mother were betrayed and sold into sexual slavery in China and forced to suffer terrible psychological and physical hardship before they finally made their way to Seoul, South Korea - and to freedom.

Inspiring story
Revisado: 01-11-22
A story of courage and perseverance. It is so important to know how lucky it is to be born in a free country. Everyone should listen to or read this book and the world should rise up against these north Korean scum. Also, China is no better. So many shameful countries and "leaders". It is important that people like Yeonmi have a voice and speak out against these despicable criminals in north Korea and China.

Sorry, but very dissapointing
Revisado: 09-25-21
I had high hopes for this book but it is a disappointment. Almost no actable information and just a lot of very boring stories. I like a lot of things I hear from this author on podcasts and this is why I got this book. However, the book seems to have very little reflection on the good things I hear in interviews. I really don't like returning books but I have to return this one.

Historia
In Cured, Dr. Rediger digs down to the root causes of illness, showing how to create an environment that sets the stage for healing. He reveals the patterns behind healing and lays out the physical and mental principles associated with recovery: first, we need to physically heal our diet and our immune systems. Next, we need to mentally heal our stress response and our identities. Through rigorous research, Dr. Rediger shows that much of our physical reality is created in our minds. Our perception changes our experience, even to the point of changing our physical bodies.

I just can't seem to resonate with this
Revisado: 08-08-21
Incomprehensible reference to obscure math with absolutely no real recommendations of what to do to avoid all the disasters that the author seems to say are imminent. I find Nassim to have a huge ego and enjoys proving how brilliant he is. This should not be the goal of a book. Yes, I know you are brilliant Nassim, but why don't you use your intellectual "gifts" to make all these complex and, by your measure, important concepts understandable to the point that us mere mortals can actually DO something with whatever information you continually cloak in mathematical double talk. Ugh! Unless you want to go on a journey of confusion and like feeling confused, then don't by this book!

Historia
Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

One word: Amazing!
Revisado: 04-26-21
I have listened to a lot of audio books and have been sorely disappointed most of the time. However, not this time! Every author should hold themselves to this standard! This was absolutely amazing and riveting from the start to the very end. It is, without a doubt, the best audio book I have ever listened to. I think I am also going to order the Kindle version so I can highlight and then transcribe the immense diamonds of wisdom in this book. Thank you for writing this! This book is a gift to the world. I absolutely love this book!

Disappointing after high hopes from a podcast

I really enjoyed the interview on the Tim Ferris Show with this author. This prompted me to buy the book but the book is not at all what I thought it would be. I hate returning books, but I have to return this one.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Not very good
Revisado: 12-02-20
I learned a lot more from listening to podcast interviews with this author than the book. The book is just a long winded account of his life but gives, in my opinion, very little actionable advice. I really was hoping for a lot more. There are so many audible books that generally suck and, sadly, this is yet another one.

Could have said it all in one short page
Revisado: 11-22-20
This was a disappointing book and I am returning it! He goes on and on with expanding on one simple principle over and over again. The entire book could have been summarized in one page. I hate returning books but this one is just a total waste of time. Sorry for the terrible review but so little was delivered by this book.
