Historia
Two astronomers have detected a strange, pulsing signal from deep space. Within hours, the US government goes into lockdown, restricting airspace and scrubbing scientific data. Was the signal an intercepted communication revealing alarming plans for an enemy’s military strike? Or has humanity at long last found proof of extraterrestrial life?

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

This is not the genre I typically gravitate to. But this was a great book. Suspenseful, clean story with great characters. Great ending.

Along the way, Mattis recounts his foundational experiences as a leader, extracting the lessons he has learned about the nature of warfighting and peacemaking, the importance of allies, and the strategic dilemmas - and short-sighted thinking - now facing our nation.

I got through about 3/4 of it. Just was not that interesting. I’m sure military background people will dig it. Nothing against him, he’s an amazing general for us Americans.

Historia
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

It was okay. Per many sci-fi books there is a lot of luck for the main characters to continue living through the action. I di really like the ending. It was a pleasant 4 hours overall.

Historia
Earth is no longer the center of the universe. After the invention of the faster-than-light jump drive, humanity is rapidly establishing new colonies. But the vast distances of space mean that the old order of protection and interstellar law offered by Earth has ceased to exist. When a nearby world attacks, the new colony of Glenlyon turns to Robert Geary, a young former junior fleet officer, and Mele Darcy, a onetime enlisted marine.

Deep VOICE
Revisado: 12-12-17
Would you try another book from Jack Campbell and/or Christian Rummel?
No
Would you be willing to try another book from Jack Campbell? Why or why not?
NO. The story was decent except too many 'social morals realized' moments. The ending was far too predictable knowing this is going to be series of books up front.
What three words best describe Christian Rummel’s voice?
DEEP, DARK, MANLEY
Could you see Vanguard being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Not really, although I could never predict what is made into a movie.
Any additional comments?
Can I get my credit back?

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

My expectations are too HIGH
Revisado: 12-12-17
What did you like best about Artemis? What did you like least?
The main character has some humor about her life in general
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
It's on the Moon. Too many 'saved it at the last second' moments.
What does Rosario Dawson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Just a good voice and pretty good character changes
Did Artemis inspire you to do anything?
Not really

On the snow-covered slopes of Utah, the unthinkable has just become a nightmarish reality: thirty Secret Service agents have been viciously executed and the vacationing president of the United States kidnapped by one of the most lethal terrorist organizations in the Middle East - the Fatah Revolutionary Council. But surviving agent and ex-Navy SEAL Scot Harvath doesn't believe the Fatah Revolutionary Council is responsible for the attack.

The Main character is SO AMAZING- Just ask him!
Revisado: 02-05-16
Would you try another book from Brad Thor and/or Armand Schultz?
No, while I don't think it's fair for me to judge something or someone if I can't do better myself, the vast majority of authors I listen to are far better.
What was most disappointing about Brad Thor’s story?
The main character constantly telling me how great he was. And his 'I'm better than everyone else attitude
What does Armand Schultz bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I don't read books 'cause it gives me headaches due to eye conditions. He was a good listen but not the best. Nothing bad to say about him.
Could you see The Lions of Lucerne being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Yes without the arrogance of the main character
Any additional comments?
I'm not giving it a good rating but I stuck around long enough to finish it, so there's that...

Historia
It is a tale of ghosts, of madness, of revenge - of old alliances giving way to new intrigues. Denmark is changing, shaking off its medieval past. War with Norway is on the horizon. And Hamlet - son of the old king, nephew of the new - becomes increasingly entangled in a web of deception - and murder. Beautifully performed by actor Richard Armitage ("Thorin Oakenshield" in the Hobbit films), Hamlet, Prince of Denmark takes Shakespeare’s original into unexpected realms, reinventing a story we thought we knew.

Modern English Hamlet Rocks
Revisado: 02-09-15
What made the experience of listening to Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel the most enjoyable?
Not being a connoisseur of Shakespeare I really had no interest, but since it was the $3.95 daily deal I gave it a shot and loved it. It's in Modern English so was great to listen to and follow along without wondering what they were talking about

Ohhh Many it's a great book. The ending of course is the best & worst
What about Richard Armitage’s performance did you like?
Very Well done
Who was the most memorable character of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel and why?
Hamlets Jester (imaginary...?)

Never quite finished it
Revisado: 10-15-14
What did you like best about 10% Happier? What did you like least?
Great concept
Would you ever listen to anything by Dan Harris again?
nope
Would you listen to another book narrated by Dan Harris?
nope
Do you think 10% Happier needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Never finished this one. I was an hour or so away but found something better to do.
Any additional comments?
Being 10% happier is a great goal for self help and it seemed to work for Dan. But in the end it was too personal of a story to work for me.
