Okay so this book is if you need something fun and cringey and quick. This is superrrrr corny. Like she meets a British guy reading Shakespeare in a bar? Of course she does! The narrator did a good job. Although, it was very much a girl pretending to voice a British man so it took a bit to get used to when she voiced the love interest. I didn't really like the love interest so I was super annoyed with the end.

The Narrator Does Great Accents!

I loved the narrator! The voices she did were so good. I really enjoyed listening to it. Although, I definitely think I might need to physically read this book to grasp all the world building and everything. There's so much to know and so much that's happening that it's easy to get lost. The ending was pretty wild tho and it makes me want to continue on.

I absolutely love Shadow and Bone and I decided to listen to it in preparation for King of Scars. Lauren Fortgang is an amazing narrator and she does the best voice for the Darkling! The first book is a very foundational book and it's a good book, but it doesn't start getting super amazing until book two so keep listening/reading!

The book was lackluster. The audio narrator was good, but I wasn't invested in the story at all and I found it hard to keep listening. It was both predictable and extremely random. I didn't care for the plot or the characters and I just didn't have fun with this one. :/

Good if You're Rereading :)

I absolutely love Three Dark Crowns and this was my third time reading it so I decided to listen to it. The narrator did a decent job, but I feel like her narration made it feel a lot slower. The book is already a slow moving book because it's building everything up and I feel like the narrator didn't help. Either way I still really enjoyed the story and I recommend the book itself. I don't know about the audio tho.

Amazingly Real

It feels so real like you could google Sadie’s name and follow her story and like this was an actual podcast talking about it. The audio is so well done. Highly recommend!

Didn't like it as much the second time around

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The super powers were cool. I didn't like the romance mostly cause Adam is BORING.

What three words best describe Kate Simses’s performance?

I thought her voice for Juliette was kind of annoying and she also talked reallyyy slow. I sped it up to 1.5 and it didn't sound like it was sped up at all.

Was Shatter Me worth the listening time?

I read it faster than I listened to it. I should've just read it tbh, but I wanted to get some reading done while I was on the treadmill.

Any additional comments?

This is my second time reading this book and I LOVED it the first time, but this time I felt very meh about it.
