Meandering Happenstance

No real flow to the story, just goes from even to event where anything can happen. This is not a "smart" story so if you are looking for something thought provoking this isn't it. Although mildly comical at times, weak character development so I never really got interested in any of them. Narration was good.

Hi, how are you? Yes, I am talking to you, the reader of this book's description. Okay, I get it, fourth-wall breaking is overdone. Get over it. This book, Villains Rule, is a fantasy action-comedy which you have to hear. Not because it redefines the genre, far from it. But rather for what it contains. A villain's tale. How often do you get to listen to a story where the villain is the protagonist? No, not an anti-hero, or a brooding monster, nor a hero thinly disguised as a villain. And not evil. If you want evil, take that nonsense to therapy.

Slow progression of story. Excellent narration.

The story progresses very little in this second book. The narration is very good so I stuck with it. Haven't decided if next book will be worth the time to listen

First time I've listend to this narrator and I will look for more by him.

If you like Game of Thrones I would recommend this book. Similar in scale and the warring between duchies. Has some magic but not too fanciful. Good character development.The narration is excellent. Has liberal use of expletives, so be warned if you're offended by that. I'm looking forward to the next release.
