Historia
>When South African conservationist Lawrence Anthony was asked to accept a herd of "rogue" wild elephants on his Thula Thula game reserve in Zululand, his common sense told him to refuse. But he was the herd's last chance of survival: they would be killed if he wouldn't take them. In order to save their lives, Anthony took them in. In the years that followed he became a part of their family. And as he battled to create a bond with the elephants, he came to realize that they had a great deal to teach him about life, loyalty, and freedom.

A book for the ages!
Revisado: 07-08-23
This book is spellbinding. It is a book of life lessons given by the elephants in their quiet and indomitable way. It is also a book filled with bravery and wonderment and amazing love as they learn to trust the author and the author to trust them!
I will not soon forget this book!

Another great “Who Done It”

I am never disappointed with the Cheringham books and look forward to every new story. The books are a great length. I am never on a hurry to get to the end and relish my daily walk so I can listen to the story! Neil Dudgeon is a wonderful narrator.

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

Amazing Book
Revisado: 06-17-20
This book was the most gripping book I’ve read since “Gone With the Wind” 60 years ago. It made the founding of our great nation come alive. I never wanted it to end even at 25 hours of listening. It took me several weeks to finish it as I only listen to my books on my walks. There were days I didn’t feel like walking but I made myself as I couldn’t wait to get back to the book.
Even though it was historical fiction, the writers stuck to the facts when they had the facts. The fill-in portion was very believable. The authors explain the fiction parts and the non-fiction parts at the end of the story. I listened to every word of that as well. You will come away with a new-found admiration for our founding fathers.
The reader was amazing as well. The book is basically about Elizabeth Hamilton and so the story follows her and the story is told through her eyes. I would remind myself that the reader wasn’t Elizabeth herself. Yes, I loved the book and you will to!

Historia
Early one morning, less than a month after her 18th birthday, Alexandrina Victoria is roused from bed with the news that her uncle William IV has died, and she is now queen of England. The men who run the country have doubts about whether this sheltered young woman, who stands less than five feet tall, can rule the greatest nation in the world. Surely she must rely on her mother and her venal advisor, Sir John Conroy, or her uncle, the Duke of Cumberland, who are all too eager to relieve her of the burdens of power.

Excellent read!
Revisado: 10-21-18
From the first chapter to the last page the story of Victoria's becoming queen to falling in love with Albert was so enjoyable. The reader made the book come alive. I couldn't wait to go for my daily walk to be immersed in young Victoria's coming of age. I highly recommend this book. It will not disappoint!
