Historia
Sent back in time to Victorian England to stop the invention of a deadly weapon, Helen Foster knows the job looks too easy: All she has to do is go to an auction, buy the weapon plans, and destroy them, and she'll save millions of people back in her own time. And even if she spends the rest of her life as a spinster stuck in the English countryside with a plethora of cats, changing the future is worth it.

really great author
Revisado: 07-21-16
the author has found a balance allowing the female character to have a purpose aside from romance other authors often lack. Romance is a major theme in the storyline, but it actually contributes to the complexity of the character. the authors choice of words paints a picture of the time. details are carefully chosen, and allow the reader to smell, touch, and see the environment.

Historia
After her parents died in a car accident when she was just a child, Evelyn Lakewood was left alone in the world. I'm really annoyed with this storyline
Revisado: 07-19-16
girl is sheltered and isolated. girl doesn't have a lot of self value. girl meets boy who she doesn't really get to know. boy keeps secrets from the girl and later blames her for making "mistakes" that could have been prevented if she had known the secrets. boy knows what's best for girl. girl has to win over his circle (because she has none), but he protects her during this. girl is shy, skinny, frail, eats very little, a virgin, and needs to be protected. In short: a man you barely know is your only chance at happiness and the only thing that matters. he is all knowing....
also...the way this book ended was like the book had been torn in half. I'm not left in suspense, but confusion. it's disappointing, because the writer can really paint a scene with words. they could have done so much better!
