I had heard Hall speak during an online workshop. Since he has a natural, upbeat, motivational style, I bought his book. Hall talks about his abrupt career change and how he dealt with it. I found his beach comber verses tide turner descriptions relevant for my current unexpected career transition. This is a good read/listen for folks stuck in or pried out of a job.

Picoult masterfully tells a powerful story from three very different perspectives: a black nurse, a white liberal and a white supremacist. She makes each detailed narration very personal, vulnerable and unforgettable. A must read/listen! Warning: I had to continually stop listening to the white supremacist's chapters. He is so dark and real I needed frequent breaks. The actors were superb!
