Historia
A thrilling new adventure featuring literature’s favourite detective like you’ve never seen him before. The first in a series, Clockwork Sherlock follows ex-soldier Captain Jo Barnes. The mysterious VR detective singles her out as his own Dr Watson, but he’s about to find out she’s no fawning sidekick. When tech giant Robert Fairfield is found dead of a suspected drug overdose, fingers are pointed at the two women who stood most to gain from his death: his fiancée and leader of the New Ludds, Greta Blackstone, and Beth Fairchild, Robert’s ambitious daughter.

Clockwork Sherlock is such a fascinating story
Revisado: 08-15-20
I hope that sequels will be published. The universe feels real, timeless. Sherlock Holmes and... Augmented Reality, and AI? Highly recommended.

Historia
Jaron Lanier, a Silicon Valley visionary since the 1980s, was among the first to predict the revolutionary changes the World Wide Web would bring to commerce and culture. Now, in his first book, written more than two decades after the web was created, Lanier offers this provocative and cautionary look at the way it is transforming our lives for better and for worse.

thought-provoking Manifesto
Revisado: 02-13-18
Thought provoking, especially is view on fitting humans into templates as a trend, compared to the early web and the way people's personalities could be felt through their websites. Skip intro anyone? What turned into a joke was in fact quite special. Having been involved in user experience design from the early days I thought this was very interesting. Recommended, and I also highly recommend his newer book Dawn of The New Everything.

Revisado: 03-26-06
I thought this book was fun and delicious! It is fascinating to hear about his experiences, what he went thru to become the master he is. I value Jacques Pepin's gift to the culinary world even more after this book.

Historia
While the Civil War raged in America, another very different revolution was beginning to take shape across the Atlantic, in the studios of Paris. The artists who would make Impressionism the most popular art form in history were showing their first paintings amid scorn and derision from the French artistic establishment. Indeed, no artistic movement has ever been, at its inception, quite so controversial.

But not for audio, unless you have a real grasp on the artists during this time.

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: It is a truth universally acknowledged that anyone looking for a great listen won’t be able to resist Jane Austen’s delightful classic of love and manners in Regency England. Jane Austen's story of Mrs. Bennet's finding husbands for her daughters is told with wit and charm. A must for lovers of good literature. Commuters Library presents Pride and Prejudice read by Kate Reading.

I could listen to this 1,000 times. What a wonderful narration and or course, a wonderful story. I wish they had Kate Reading (the narrator) read all Jane Austen books.

a bad romance novel
Revisado: 03-11-06
I too enjoy reading about Elizabeth, the reason I purchased this book. I really wish I did not waste my time. This book took all the greatness away from the Queen and made it seem as if she could not make a move without Robert. If you love historic facts and stories, I would not waste your time on this "harlequin romance"
