Historia
Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.

a laugh riot
Revisado: 03-22-21
I am not a huge zombie fan, but I thought I would give this book a try. SOOOO glad I did. Never expected a book involving zombies would have me laughing so much. The story is engaging and the narrator did a wonderful job bringing the various charcters to life

Historia
Multiple races carefully navigate the City of Elantra under the Dragon Emperor’s wing. His Imperial Wolves are executioners, the smallest group to serve in the Halls of Law. The populace calls them assassins. Every wolf candidate must consent to a full examination by the Tha’alani, one of the most feared and distrusted races in Elantra for their ability to read minds. Most candidates don’t finish their job interviews.

more please
Revisado: 10-16-20
The world Michelle creates in the Cast series, and now this side story, is one of my favorites. I have always had a fondness for Severn and this story only further entrenches my love for him as a character. Getting some insight into his background was enlightening and has me wanting more. Can't wait for the second book (and hopefully more) to come!

We're the D'Artigo sisters: savvy half-human, half-Fae operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. My sister Camille is the Queen of Dusk & Twilight and married to three hunky men. Menolly is a vampire married to a gorgeous werepuma and a vampire prince. And me? I'm Delilah, a Death Maiden werecat, and I'm about to marry the love of my life. But in the midst of joy, we are facing the escalating war with Shadow Wing.

Narrator issues again
Revisado: 05-23-20
The same narrator has been used throughout this series, yet for some reason in this book and the one preceding it she has completely changed how she pronounces names of people and places. This book isn't as jarring as the last one, but she even changed pronunciation again between this book and the last. It makes it hard to listen.

Historia
The epic conclusion to David Dalglish's Seraphim series. What started as a small rebellion has grown to all-out war, with the four minor islands uniting under the call for independence. But Kael Skyborn no longer trusts the mysterious leader of their rebellion nor his disciples. Neither side seems willing to reveal the truth of the elemental prisms the Seraphim wield in battle or the blood that keeps the islands from crashing down to the ocean below.

not everyone gets a happy ending
Revisado: 04-15-18
What made the experience of listening to Shadowborn the most enjoyable?
The fact that the author brought about a more realistic ending than many young adult books do. The hero doesn't always get a happily ever after. In war people die, even the strongest fall to an enemy sometimes.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The ending made me cry sad and happy tears all at the same time
