I got through 6 chapters before giving up. the narrator is probably very nice but her voice sounds like the lady from Married With Children, with less affect. The writing was far worse than Twilight. I'm hoping the whole book isn't about being abused and bullied but most of what I read was. I'm positive there are people who would love this book, I'm just not one of them.

Main character is so dumb... but I kept listening

The narrator gave the main character the voice of a 50 year old, when she was a very immature 25. It almost felt like the author was making fun of people in their 20s, by writing her so dumb and full of her own self importance. However I wanted to know who her parents really were so I kept reading. I finally skipped two books to get to the end. You could read the first and last book and not miss much. If you read the others, you'll likely be upset that Hamish isn't her Beau.

I've heard about this book for many years and it felt like a cliché, but, on some recommendations, I decided to read it. I recently read The Four Agreements and I've done Sam Harris Meditations for about a year, I was amazed at how connected both of those were to this. So much of what has happened during the last year makes sense now. I'm so thankful for this path.

I loved this book from the beginning. hearing the origin story of the first meeting and how that wove into the storyline was great. There are several things I love about this series, but one of the biggest things is how art is used throughout the series, and this was certainly no exception!

I'm so disappointed

I couldn't finish this. I really enjoyed his other 2 series, but the creepiness of this book was too much. I kept trying to give him the benefit that maybe there would be a "good reason" for why this guy was mooning over an underage girl. Finally I decided there couldn't be any reason good enough for the writer to write like this. I'm really disappointed in Mr Alanson. But I will continue to love Skippy!
