the narrator did great with what she had to work with. this is obviously not written by James Patterson. it's no doubt a YA book. I should have taken the other reviews to heart.
I honestly can't even finish the last 35 minutes of the book

NO STORY but with a Speed Reader Narrator
Revisado: 03-03-22
NO STORY but with a Speed Reader Narrator! Sound impossible? Give it a listen.
Let me start by saying I have always loved Dean Koontz. I didn't give a moments hesitation to the purchase of this novel.
The writing is poetic and the novel well written. Beautiful prose, amazing descriptions.... However, there was no substance, no story. I know there had to be one as it was very lengthy as well as disappointing.
I wondered at times if it was a teen novel, except that the subject matter was rated R.
Lastly, there was no ending, no closure to be had. It felt as if Koontz got as tired of writing as I did of listening.
Ohhh, let's not forget the narrator....OMG, please never again. He is a speed reader. Turning the speed down to 90% did help.

Great Story (but are these short novels worth it?)
Revisado: 02-07-22
I think this is book 4. I have read each....and each book gets shorter. This book literally ends mid paragraph, not like a cliff hanger, just mid paragraph. Combine books 3 and 4 and you may have a normal sized novel. Greedy
