Historia
The Seven Forges are a range of impassable mountains, far to the north of the settled lands of Fellein. From time to time explorers venture up beyond the Blasted Lands in search of a way over them and the promise of legendary riches, but without success. Now Captain Merros Dulver has found a path, and encountered, at last, the half-forgotten people who dwell there. And it would appear they were expecting him.

Be cautious. If his series progressively worsens. First is an ok read. The rest are a just to edge you on to each next book.

Full credit to the narrator. But the story isn’t worth it in the long run. First book on. Second book is just a long first third of a proper book. Third book continues being a long descent. Do books four five and six eventually correct. I won’t know. If a book isn’t worth anything more than acting as a set up for the next book don’t make them separate books.

Grim dark has its limits. Seven books that none have a normal story arc but instead feed the next is just not worth it.
Revisado: 12-19-24
Ignore the high ratings on this title. I have the first a chance. When it ran less like a book and more like the first third of a proper story I thought ok second is highly rated maybe it finishes the first damn story arc. No. It was worse. It just kept building up the bad for the NEXT story with no real advance of its own story. This series is like a massive long end of movie dun-dun-duuuuun stinger for the next movie.

Merros Dulver, their newly-appointed - and somewhat reluctant - commander, has been tasked with preparing them to fight the most savage enemy the world has yet seen. Overpowered villains and no protagonist rises arc. Poor story
Revisado: 12-19-24
There comes a point in a story where you get tired of the antagonist being overpowered these books should have been combined so you’d have an Individual story arc in one story. There’s grim dark and there’s just unnecessary descent without check on the story arc without any true uplift.
